This DVD sees the familiar Friends gang in the final three episodes of series 9, culminating in a trip to Barbados to see Ross' speech.
The episodes on the Disc are:
1: The one with the fertility test 2: The one with the donor 3: The one in Barbados (Part I&II)
The first episode sees Joey hook up with a co-worker Charlie (Aisha Tyler) who Ross likes. This sparks an incredibly funny exchange between Ross and Joey, with Ross trying to make Joey sound intelligent to impress his new girlfriend, with Matt Le Blanc putting on a classic performance projecting Joeys lack of common sense. When Janice shows up at the fertility clinic with Chandler and Monica, an awkward situation arises that is familiar to many of the exchanges when Janice appears!
The second episode I found incredibly funny, with the exchange between Monica and Chandler to perspective donors. I found this tongue in cheek and the writing is impeccable to make the situation incredibly awkward but you can't seem to turn away because it is awkwardly funny.
The final episode is a double episode and this is the series finale and to tell you much about it would ruin the episode and all I am going to say is to listen out for classic quotes from Joey and Chandler, especially when they arrive in Barbados for the first time. With the reappearance of Mike (Paul Rudd) and David (Hank Azaria) there is a tug of love for Phoebes affection. This coupled with Ross, Charlie, Joey and Rachel all revealing secret feelings sets up series 10 to be a great final series in the popular TV programme.
As a DVD to watch in your spare time, this DVD offers a good collection of episodes that are a good watch and are classic Friends, with the storyline taking twists and turns to help set up the final series. However, I would recommend buying the whole box set of the series to get the full collection of episodes but as an aside, this collection is an excellent blend of light entertainment and classic comedy.
