By now it should be clear to regular readers of my ops that Friends is one of the things that rocks my world. Im going to write a detailed overview of all the episodes in series 2 and give some details about the box set.

The box set I have consists of three discs, the older series' have different styles to the newer ones. Seasons 1-6 are available for around £15 now in shops and on the internet. The newer seaons cost much more, unless of course you know about the wonder of play.com and cdwow. Newer box sets cost arounf £80 in HMV and MVC but they can be had for around £40 on the internet, and thats even before you check out Ebay!

The reason websites such as play can offer better prices is that they import region 4 dvds which are good on region 2 DVD players and PS2's.

Series 2 is a certificate 12 which means that parental supervision is advised.

Now the best bit!
Heres an overview of the episodes!
***********************************
The one with Ross's new girlfriend.

Ross comes home from China to a newly enlightened Rachel. She has found out about his feelings for her but doesnt realise that he got over her while he was away.
Pheobe cuts Monicas hair but gets the wrong end of the stick and she ends up looking awful!

The one with the breast milk.

Monica goes shopping with Julie behind Rachels back. Joey has competition in his new job from an aftershave toting cowboy.
Rachel feels betrayed by Monica when she finds out that shes friends with Julie.

The one where Heckles dies.

Monica and Rachels annoying downstairs neighbour dies and he leaves all his worldly possesions to the girls. They have the job of clearing out his apartment because he has no family and Chandler gets upset and freaks out when he see's the resemblances between him and Heckles, he begins to panic when he realises he may end up alone if he doesnt deal with his issues with women.

The one with Pheobe's husband

Pheobe is married - to a gay ice dancer. He makes an appearance today to request a divorce from Pheebs - because hes gone straight! Pheobe is gutted that the man she harbours a secret love for is getting married for real.

The one with five steaks and an eggplant

Monica is promoted at work, its also Ross's birthday - two oocassions which warrant a celebration. Rachel, Joey and Pheobe feel that alot os expected of them financially by their three more successful, richer friends and the group fall out. Monica promptly gets the sack from work when she accepts a backhander without realising it.

The one with the baby on the bus

Ross very reluctantly allows Chandler and Joey to babysit his precious Ben, in true Joey and Chandler style they leave little Ben on a city bus while trying to score with two women (who to my eye arent all that attractive!)
Pheobe gets the sack from Central Perk in favour of a talented replacement. Cue some hilarious revenge songs from Pheebs

The one where Ross finds out

It was bound to happen, Ross Loves Rachel, Then Rachel Loves Ross, Ross had to find out at some point about the secret feelings Rachel had for him. This causes some major Friends drama! Youre on the edge of your seat even when youve seen it before!

The one with the list

Nobody ever told Ross that you dont make a list of pros and cons about a girl when theres a chance she could see it!

The one with Pheobe's dad

Pheobe learns about her dad. Ross manages to make all of Monica's Christmas party guests miserable and Rachel takes her revenge on Ross!

The one with Russ

Rachel dates a guy exactly like Ross but she doesnt realise it. In this episode its hard to tell whats going on - is it Ross playing Russ? or is it a lokalike with 'Ross' doing a voice over? If anybody knows let me know! It puzzles me every time!

The one with the lesbian wedding

Ross is reluctant to be in Carol and Susans wedding, but steps in like the gentleman he really is underneath all his sulking.

The one with the superbowl part 1

Remember Marcel? Ross goes to the zoo to visit him only to be told he died, but this isnt true, really hes now a film star! Brooke Shields makes a cameo appearance as a demeted Drake fan!

The one with the superbowl part 2

The guys visit Marcel on his movie set and Monic and Rachel fight over Jean Claude Van Damme. I love Julia Robers in this episode as a disgruntled ex classmate of Chandler. Classic friends!

The one with the prom video

Monicas old home video reveals to the group the lengths to which Ross will go for Rachel. Its a rea;;y sweet episode!!!

The one where Ross and Rachel...you know!

Monica gets a thing for Richard and Ross and Rachel encounter some difficulties when it comes to consumating their relationship.

The one where Joey moves out

Joey and Chandler fall out about Joey licking a spoon and putting it back in the drawer, this leads to him getting his own place to live. Monica tells her parents abouut her and Richard

The one where Eddie moves in

I love Eddie. Hes great.
A total psycho - but great!
Joey and Chan miss each other but theyr both too stubborn to admit it. Eddie causes mayhem with his psychotic behaviour.

The one where Dr Ramoray dies

Joey has upset the DOUL writers and they write him a grissly death in revenge. Eddie is freaking everyone out.

The one where Eddie wont go

Joey and Chandler love each other again, but its harder than anticipated getting rid of the dehydrating maniac Eddie, god I love him, hes so great!
The girlies read a book on personal empowerment and Ross gets confused by Rachels sudden burst of sisterhood

The one where Old Yeller dies

Pheobe is upset to find her mum used to stop her watching movies when the upsetting bits came up to protect her, so she sets out to watch all the movies she watched as a kid to learn the real endings.
Richard bonds with Joey and Chandler and becomes a role model for them

The one with the bullies

Ross and Chandler fall victim to two very immature men who bully them out of Central Perk. Pheobe mets her long lost family.

The one with the 2 parties

Its Rachels brithday but her parents hate each other so the guys hold 2 seperate parties to keep them apart.

The one with the chicken pox

Charlie Sheen guest stars as Pheobes lover on shore leave. The pair get chicken pox so a romantic night together is off the table.
Monica worries shes too neurotic for Richard.

The one with Barry and Mindy's wedding.

Last in series.
Monica and Richard break up and Rachel is a bridesmaid for her ex friend Mindy who is marrying her ex fiance Barry!

The extra features on the disc are simply scene selection and the video for the theme song.

You dont feel like youre missing out on special features because the main feature is so good. Who buys DVD's for their special features anyway?

All in all I cant fault Friends in general or series 2, I love it and I never tire of watching it!

Thanks for reading!
Nat :o)
