This Friends box set contains thirty DVD's in total that hold every episode of Friends from series one to ten. The normal retail price of the box set is £200 though it can be found a lot cheaper recently. I picked it up in HMV just before Christmas 2009 for just £60 - a bargain! The discs are contained in sleek slimline cases that then fit inside a cardboard outside cover that slots neatly and compact into the box.
As any Friends fanatic will know, on the back of every case there is a list of the episode's titles starting with 'The One' referring to what the episode is about. On the front of this box set is says across the middle 'The One With All The Episodes' with a picture of the six main characters below.
Some people would probably argue that you can just watch Friends all the time on E4 - two episodes, back to back and then repeated on E4+1 and hour later. While this is true, E4 do tend to repeat the same set of episodes over and over again, although they are from a variety of series. But the one great thing about owning every series, is that you can watch them in sequence and follow the storyline, which mainly focuses around Ross and Rachael's relationship, and also you get to see all the scenes that have been cut out for television, some of which are hilarious!
Serious Friends fanatics will also know about the very distinct colour and lighting issues in some of the episodes. You would think that they could have digitally remastered it somehow to sort the colour out, but unfortunately this problem is still present on the episodes contained in the box set. This is only on a few select ones though, so it's not too bad.
There were some rumours going around a while ago hinting on the fact that there could be a Friends movie in development. Whether this is really happening I do not know, but I don't think it's that great an idea after already producing more hours of entertainment than are contained in a movie anyway. You can just go and buy this box set and it will provide you with hours upon hours of enjoyment anyway.
