I went to see this film at the cinema a few weeks ago with my partner and thought it was really boring. My partner thought it was great, I don't know why. The storyline was unbelieveable and the characters shallow. I wanted to walk out, this isn't something I normally want to do as I watch most things, but this was nothing special at all. I like going to the cinema to watch films, it is like sharing somebodys life for a few hours. You are experiencing what they are going through in a way. It takes you away from your life for a little while. Frequency was a waste of money, time and thought. Briefly, the film is about a boys father who uses a radio to talk to people, the father is killed in a fire. The boy grows up and becomes quite a loner, as a result of such a huge loss in his life. He comes across the radio years later and starts to use it. Unbelieveably he reaches his father in the past, before he was killed and lets him know what went wrong. The story continues to follow this line and the future begins to change until the end, when everyone lives ever after. Don't take me the wrong way it isn't a feel good film, it is a crap film! I normally say to people go and see for yourself and make up your own mind, but please don't both with this movie. Goodness knows why Mr Quaid took this role on, it isn't going to do anything for his career!

Advantages: Great acting, which was made believable. You are on the edge of your seat throughout the film. Disadvantages: You may get a bit confused with the time changes.
