I can't stress to you enough how bad this film is. Now you might be thinking Tom Green's a funny guy, and you'd be right but this is seriously awful.
I liked the movie Road Trip with Tom Green, and although i'd heard Freddy got Fingered was bad I didn't realise how bad. I have to admit to laughing about three times during the film, but it was a real stuggle to watch it all.
Tom Green for those of you who don't know is an American comic and prankster, famous for zany stunts and the terrorising of his poor parents (in one show he burst into his parents bedroom in the middle of the night and threw a severed pig's head onto the bed).
The plot (such as it is) follows Tom Green's character as he tries to make it as a cartoon illustrator. He sets off towards the big city and along the way has encounters with amongst others things a horse on a stud farm and a dead moose (you don't want to know).
The cast isn't too bad including Rip Torn and Drew Barrymore as well as Tom Green, but that doesn't save it in any way. The script for me is just really poorly written, so the cast can't save the film. Also most of the laughs are 'I can't belive he just did that' sort of laughs, so it's really more disgusting than funny.
I suppose if you've seen the Tom Green Show then this film is what you may expect to see, but it just doesn't work in a movie format.
This film has to be seen to be believed, so I guess I would recommend watching it just to see how shockingly bad it is. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
I was just talking baout this film the other day, i have always wanted to see it, think you might have just put me off! Glad im not going waste my time now! Good review, charlene
I love watching Jackass and shows like that so someone like Tom Green would amuse me greatly, probably! I've seen him in Road Trip and he did crack me up...sounds like this film just doesn't make the grade though-shame. Becki x
