Okay, so you buy a film where the main character is Tom Green. What do you expect?
Freddy Got Fingered is probably the best example of the strangeness that is Tom Green. Although it has more shock value than actual laugh-out-loud scenes, its very entertaining. That is, unless you get offended or grossed out very easily.
The basic story is about 28 year old Gord (Green) who still lives with his parents and wishes to pursue his dream to become a full time animator. However, he has many obstacles to overcome, such as getting someone in the animation business to look at his work, and overcoming the anger and hatred that his dad (Rip Torn) has for him.
To quickly remove his father from the scene, Gordy makes up a lie that his dad sexually abused his brother, Freddy (Eddy Kaye Thomas). Freddy gets taken into care, even though no-one seems to notice that he's about 25 years old.
There's also a sub-plot of Gord's relationship with wheelchair-user Betty, who gets great satisfaction from being hit on the legs with a bamboo cane. Hmmm...
However, there are lots of (shall we say graphic) scenes in this film, such as animals being tossed off, a dead deer being worn as a cape and a horrible, horrible leg wound.
But overrall i liked it. Its a change from your usual chick flick or action movie, and although some people may find it offensive, its definitely not boring, and i think its one of those films that everyone has to see once in their life, even if its just to discuss how terrible it is.
"Japan four!!" Kate.

(+) Because of the new series the box set isn't complete, which means it will be cheaper! (-) It isnt the complete box set so you'll have to buy the new dvds seperatly or wait for the new set!
Saw this for the first time the other day - and I must admit the leg scene, and the baby birth scene made me want to gag...I couldn't watch!!! There were some very funny scenes though - p.s. welcome to ciao!! kels x
