OK – um – how to describe this film? It is a comedy, but that does not necessarily mean it is funny - and to be blunt, it isn’t. The humour is very original, though more annoying than funny. It stars MTV comedian Tom Green, who is known for his over-the-top humour and stupid stunts. You may have seen him in Charlies Angels, or in Road Trip - these were good films and should not be mistaken as proof of Tom Green having good taste. He does not disappoint on this reputation – any fans of Tom Green will love this film. Unfortunately, I believe this refers to only a couple of people, so this does not help. You only have to read the title to begin to see what I am talking about. Now, I know people will read this and think that I am obviously exaggerating my opinion to make you believe me. I have a pretty dark humour, and can laugh at almost anything, but not this. So, to prove my point, I am going to give you a couple of examples of ‘funny’ moments in the film. One example is when Tom Green is visiting a friend in hospital, and sees a pregnant woman on a hospital bed who is about to give birth. Instead of calling a doctor, he delivers it. He pulls the baby out, and then swings it around his head by its umbilical cord. Funny..... Another example is when he finds a dead deer on the side of the road. He proceeds to cut its insides out, wear its freshly cut skin on his head, and runs up and down shouting any crap which Tom Green found funny enough to include in his script (he also directed it). Finally, he meets the “paraplegic nymphomaniac of his dreams” (as said on the back of the DVD) and proceeds to beat her with a cane across her legs for pleasure. I hope from these examples you can see what I mean. I strongly suspect him of having quite a few mental problems, and it is no surprise that this film flopped at the box office. Some comedians might be able to pull off these stunts and make them funny, but there is something manic about Tom Green which is more scary than comedic. The actual plot is that of an amateur cartoonist who wants to make it big. He goes to Hollywood and does lots of ‘funny’ things on the way. Nuff said. There are a couple of good points though. One is the soundtrack - Tom Green seems to have been able to compile a brilliant collection of punk music(new and old) which definitely livens the film up. This doesn't mean you should buy the DVD for this, but you should buy the soundtrack seperately. Also, the extras are OK. The highlight would have to be the children's version of the film - they have had to cut out almost everything and so it lasts about three minutes. Its not too funny, but its better than the actual film, and means that you don't have to wait long for it to end. There are also quite a few deleted scenes (for those who like the film, this is good) and a few documentaries. I am sorry that I have not got much of a balanced opinion to this film, but it was almost impossible for me to do so. That about wraps that up. Don’t buy this. Don’t even consider it. It is not worth it.

(+) Because of the new series the box set isn't complete, which means it will be cheaper! (-) It isnt the complete box set so you'll have to buy the new dvds seperatly or wait for the new set!

Have to agree with you 100% on this one. I can laugh at most things too, but this was just stupid and had very few funny moments at all.

The "humour" in this film sounds pretty sick and offensive, so I can't imagine that many people would find it funny. I think you are right to warn against it!
