What I love the most about fraggle rock is that it can be enjoyed by oldies like myself or by the toddling little youths of todays generations. The lovable characters, good morals, excellent kind teachings and wonderfully addictive theme and episode music and songs are so so appealing to all ages.
This double disc edition of fraggle rock has 12 episodes on it for us all to enjoy. My favourites are doomsday soup and the day the music died as they really pluck at my heart strings, that and gobo my favourite character learns some good lessons in them.
This double disc set cost me £28.95 from Tesco Jersey, which was a bargain as I've seen this in WHSmiths for £32.99. It's a region 2 format, certificate PG, and runs for 312 minutes all in English Lanuage.
Appart from a simple one intro theme tune at the start of the first episode on each disc, my other grumble is the lack of special features and extras on this double disc DVD compliation. The only extra bit of entertainment is a 'Down at Fraggle Rock documentary' taken from the VHS version and is still presented by the old and original creators of fraggle rock. Although its interesting, I would have much rather prefered some more songs or perhaps a game or deleted scenes. Oh well, never mind it is stil very good value for money and higghly recommended as the idea addition to any fans collection. Or would make the bestest little birthday/ xmas or easter treat gift for an equally mad fanatic as I.
Overall a 4 star rating, cut short from a 5 only by lack of special, never before seen extras that i would have liked to have seen. Great for any fraggle fan. Thanks for reading, best wishes, mintz x x

Isn't it wonderful when those child hood memories come back to you, and whats even better is when they are in snazzy updated (graphics and sound wise anyway) version, such as this dvd.
Fragglerock, as most can remember was another genius creation from Jim Henson. For those out of the loop, or are lucky enough to be too young to remember, he's the same man who is responsible for the existence of the muppets, sesame street and of course - the fraggles!

My favourite bit is, and will always be, the amazingly up-beat and admittely catchy theme tune at the start, which they play full length. I can never help but sing along.
The episodes are well, not actually episodes, more like sections divided into each aspect of the making. For example the story boards, puppet designers, pupptiers, actors voices, stage set up and song cast. Entertainingly put together with a constant snap shot of certain favourite episodes ...
Enjoy the wonderful colourful world of the Fraggles who live in a magical kingdom along with the construct-aholic Doozers and the huge vegetable-growing Gorgs. Words of weird wisdom are provided by the talking Trash Heap. Comprises 12 episodes of the enchanting Muppet spin-off.
