" Life is like a box of chocalates, you never knows what you gunna ge' "
This is my all time favourite film it is hallirious, sad and sometimes completely mad but it is always interesting there's not a point in this film that i get bored and my friends call me mad for always doing forest gump impresions because there are bits in the film that will stick in your head forever.
I think the reason that makes this film so good is that it's not really based on anything as such just on this one mans life that is never boring because he is so simple.
The film starts of with a feather falling down and landing right by forest gump (as a man) who is sitting on a bench holding a box ofchocalates then when someone come along he starts talking to them and says the very famous line "Life is like a box of chocalates, you never knows what you gunna ge' " and it is at this point that you realize this is no ordinary film this is something special because thi character is such a good character to have because he's simple and doesn't worry about things people worry about e.g. money, being thought of badly ect.
after this Forest Gump starts talking about his past and a flashback ocurs and it's him as a boy getting his braces fitted, now later on in the film he's being chased by some kids that bully him and he starts running and this is when the other famous line comes from when his girly friend shout "Run Forest! RUN!" and i wont say what happens because i want you to find out.
Anyway it goes through his life which is really interesting and it's really funny because he is the one that sets all the famous saying and creates all the famous trend without realizing or trying to make them happen e.g. when a guy runs with him the guy steps in dog poo (as you do unfortunately) and he goes "shit!" and forest goes "it happens" and the guys goes "shit happens wow thankyou!!!" and runs off.
I allready feel like i've said to much if you think you've read enough then stop now if you want to read on then read on but i must warn you there are spoilers ahead so please dont complain about the spoilers i won't apoligise
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
'had to give space so you don't read it accidentally' There are points when he's in the army and he makes this friend called boba and now boba his mum cooks shrimp and all types as we find out so whilst there doing all theese training exercises forest isn't listening and is doing reallly well at working and i sreally good at it and you hear boba working slowly and going "my mama cooks all kindsa shrimp there's: poched shrimp, fried shrimp, shrimp on a stick, shrimp kebab..." and then one day boba goes "...shrimp stew, chopped shrimp. ... ... and that's about it" which is really funny when your listening to him go on and on.
well i think i've wrote quite a bit if you want to know more let me know i'll as much as you want but don't be stupid but please do buy this film it is really good a i thorouly engoyed it!! :)
any questions just ask!

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.
