This is always a great film to watch on a sunday afternoon. With a bout of comedy it turns out to be light hearted but sometimes very heart felt. You cant help but feel pity for Gump but at the same time realise that being a bit oblivious to what goes around him sort of protects him. All the characters in this film help give this film that lasting quality. the narrative style from gumps point of view gives this film its tone. Its a film that I would watch time and again, but to enjoy this film one can not take it at face value or seriously or you might miss the point completely. I think It is also a film that the whole family can enjoy.
