Forrest Gump is a movie about a 'simple' man's journey through time. It follows his life from the 1950's to the 1980's, where he becomes involved in just about every major event in American history. Born in Alabama, Forrest (Tom Hanks) is constantly harrassed and called 'stupid' by other children. The only friend he has, and who understands him is Jenny (Robin Wright), who he soon falls in love with. During his life, Forrest is a football hero, wins a Medal of Honour in Vietnam, is a millionaire stockholder, becomes a captain of a shrimpboat, and runs across America. But throughout his life, he never forgets his childhood sweetheart, Jenny. This movie is definitely one of a kind. It will make you laugh and cry, and has a great soundtrack with songs from that era.
