Forest Gump is my favourite film of all time! The story is outstanding, warm, funny charming and well cast - Tom Hanks is excellent as Forest, a good all round actor, and the oscars were well deserved. Set mainly in a southern state, it is the tale of a simple man who achieves unexpected things. During the course of the film Forest also inspires others to achieve, and it nicely ties in established stars such as Elvis Presley (whom Forest taught to dance), and he gets to meet John Lennon and 3 US presidents. The film has loads of funny moments, and a number of tear jerking ones(get your hankies ready at the end) and most amazingly Forest spends most of the film on a park bench telling his story. The main reason I like this film, apart from the outstanding quality of the acting and the script, is because it is inspirational - if Forest can achieve so much while starting with so little then so can everyone else. This film is brilliant to watch over and over again, and gets better all the time. 10 out of 10.
