Mmmmm! I wish but then, i'd eat my way out of house and home. But anyway this line is a key one to the film of Forrest Gump and is very meaningful after considering the film as a whole and the storyline.
The film is about a retarded boy called Forrest Gump and at the atart of the film shows how he had to have leg braces and how he suffered from people making fun of him etc. The film then progresses on to show how much he achieved in his life. The grown up Forrest is played by Tom Hanks.
During the film it shows Forrest walking with his only friend Jenny with his leg braces on and he's chased by other boys in a vehicle. He runs and runs so fast that his leg braces fall off but he still manages to run. It shows that he didn't need them and was able to run fast enough to avoid the boys.
In the film he progresses to bigger and better things all the time, which proves that because he was at a disadvantage to some he still had just as much chance as anyone else to make it to the top. He achieves many things in the film as he gets older. He turns out being a football player, a war hero at Vietnam, a champion ping-pong player and he ends up being rich. He met a friend Bubba at war and he died so Forrest took over his seafish boat for him.
His childhood friend seemed to go downhill in her life but Forrest tried to help and found he had a son.
It's a very emotive and moving film. So it's definitely one for the weepers so get the kleenex ready. In general it's a good strong storylined film and you should make a point of seeing it!
