Formula One Review 2006 (dvd)

As with all F1 review DVD's this has the best moments from the whole season on it. 2006 was a great season for formula one with Renaults Fernando Alonso taking the World championship for a second year running and confirming his status as one of the best drivers in the world. In doing so he became one of only eight drivers in the history of Formula one to win back to back titles. This is something he shares with the ever great Michael Schumacher and as any Formula one fan will know 2006 was also the year in which he announced his Retirement from Formula one ending what has been said is the greatest formula one career of all time…his records speak for themselves.

Also on this DVD you get all the best highlights from Jenson Buttons first Grand Prix win in Hungary and Felipe Massa's first step on to the top set of the podium in Turkey.
There is some great on board footage: Riding on board with Vitantonio Liuzzi when Kimi Raikkonen drives over him in Budapest is memorable. The pit stop from hell for Jenson Button when the he pulls away with the refuelling rig still attached in Imola, also sticks out.

• Super Aguri The newest team on the grid
• Interview with Ron Dennis in Japan
• And last but by no means least a Tribute to Michael Schumacher, This just under 3 minute video montage shows just a few of Michaels best bits from his long and fabulous career with some kind words from other drivers and key F1 personnel.

The overall set up of the DVD is easy to understand with the watcher being able to pick whether to watch the whole season in one hit or pick a specific race to watch the clips from.

This is defiantly a must have for formula one fans it has a collection of great memories from a great season…Alonso does it again!!!
