neat interactive menu options that let the viewer switch back and forth between a number of perspectives during each race. First select the race you want to see, then choose either the "Continuous Version" or the "Interactive Version". Continuous play runs potted highlights (five minutes or so) of each race, but the "Interactive Version" is the really interesting bit: this lets you select the view from the on-board cameras or the trackside cameras, watch the reactions in the pit lane, or even see continually updated race data statistics. The stilted commentary hardly matches Murray Walker for excitement, but does a serviceable job pointing out the significant moments in each race. Gimmicks aside, this was a vintage F1 season anyway: from Australia to waterlogged Silverstone to the first American F1 race since 1991 at Indianapolis and beyond, 2000 was the year that Michael Schumacher gave Ferrari the Constructor's Championship for the first time in 20 years, not to mention winning the Driver's title for himself. But Schuey's race to the finish was not without its setbacks: he suffered his share of crashes and breakdowns, as well as inadvertently breaking the leg of one of his pit crew and bursting into tears at a post-race press conference. New British talent emerged with Jensen Button driving in his first season for the Williams team, and this was also the year that McLaren's David Coulthard (who survived a plane crash early in the season) began to outstrip team mate and former World Champion Mika Hakkinen: it was the Scot who turned out to be Schumacher's closest rival. This disc is an absorbing way to replay the highlights of a memorable F1 year. --Mark Walker

Advantages: All the best bits from an exciting season in F1 Disadvantages: would have liked a little more on Schumachers retirement
...Formula One Review 2006 (dvd)
As with all F1 review DVD's this has the best moments from the whole season on it. 2006 was a great season for formula one with Renaults Fernando Alonso taking the Worldchampionship for a second year running and confirming his status as one of the best drivers in the world. In doing so he became one of only eight drivers in the history of Formula one to win back to back titles. This is something he shares with the ever great Michael Schumacher and as any Formula one fan will know 2006 was also the year in which he announced his Retirement from Formula one ending what has been said is the greatest formula one career of all time…his records speak for themselves.
Also on this DVD you get all the best highlights from Jenson Buttons first Grand Prix win in Hungary and Felipe Massa's first step...

...F1 Review 2000
Formula one in 2000 was a good season. It was the first Year on the grid for Britain's Jenson Button and you get to see Michael Schumacher fighting it out with Mika Hakkinen. 2000 was also the year where David Coulthard won his second British Grand Prix so there is plenty to celebrate, and there is plenty of action when the Monaco GP is red flagged and restarted.
At the Italian Grand Prix a Race Marshall was killed (this is not shown) and this was said to have effected Schumacher's form but that doesn't stop him taking the title.
As with all Formula one reviews this DVD does contain all the best action from a great season.
You are able to choose how you would like to watch the DVD. You pick the race event and then u can choose to watch the continuous version where it then allows you to pick the chapter...

Advantages: Brilliant footage, lots of it, flexible. Disadvantages: The races weren't very good in 2000, useless menu system, typically poor commentary.
...With the 2001 Formula One season having drawn to a close, petrolheads like myself are forced to look for other means of getting our F1 fix. For the first time, the season review of Formula One has been released on DVD, allowing for a far more extensive season guide than has been produced before.
In raw terms the difference is noticeable immediately - the VHS season guides typical feature around two hours of footage; the 2000 season DVD has 255 minutes of digital material. Each race can be viewed independently from the main 'Super' channel, incorporating track views, on-board cameras (OBC) and shots from the pitlane. Alternatively, the interactive feature allows you to flick between shots either from the main 'Super' channel or from an alternative trackside view, an OBC, the pits or the data stream.
It's a great concept...
