I think this has got to be the best Western film ever made. Why do I think this? Well, it has all the neccessary components of a classic Spagetti Western. If has plenty of action..... It has loads of bad Dubbing..... It has a nasty Villain..... It has Lee Van Cleef and Clint Eastwood in it.....
The story revolves around the Gangster Indio who a rather large price on his head. Only problem is, no one is man enough to take him on. That is until Lee Van Cleef and Clint Eastwood come to town. Eastwood arrives first, paying a small boy to warn him of any other strangers in town. When in the guethouse, the ugly land lady takes a shine to him. Poor man. When Van Cleef arrives, a very funny scene happens outside the guesthouse with a Chinaman taking the bags in. One man orders the little man in and one orders him out. He gets so confused in the end, he runs off screaming. Eastwood then shows off his gun talents by shooting the hat from Van Cleefs head and continually fires it up into the air. The two Bounty hunters take on Indio as a team in the end while collecting the bounty on his men's heads as he goes. Indio, the bad guy, has a fascination with his pocket watch that he stole many years ago. It turns out that the watch plays a significant part in Lee Van Cleef's life too.
Its part of the great trilogy that includes A fistful of dollars and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. I personally prefer the Good the Bad and the Ugly but this is still a truly great film set in typical Eastwood Western Style.
