Film that stars Kevin Bacon as Ben Mccormick Lori Singer who plays Ariel the daughter of a reverend played by John Lithgow. Sarah Jessica Parker who plays Ariels best friend.
Directed by Herbert Russ Produced by Paramount.
Set in the 80s based on a true story where in a small town some teenagers where at a party and an accident ended with death. So music, dancing were banned as it was said to be the cause of the death.
Rev Shaw Moore is definite that music, dancing is the work of the devil and it will not happen.
Ben arrives from the Big city and finds this very strange and is determined to change this.
Music sound tracks included; Lets hear for the boys, Holding out for a hero and of course Footloose. EXcellent 80s film if you like this sort of thing
