If you didn't manage to watch this the first time around - it is now available on DVD to rent or buy. If you enjoyed the first 2 series' of footballers wives then I recommend that you try watching this. It is somewhat different from the first two though but still enjoyable. They have managed to keep up with the grittyness of previous episodes which made this series popular.
Old characters returning include Tanya, Kyle, Jackie, Frank, Hazel and Darius.
Newcomers in this series are Amber and Conrad Gates, Harley Lawson and his girlfriend Shannon and new Manager Roger Webb to name but a few.
We pick up 6 months after the last series ended with Jason plummeting to his death. In those 6 months Chardonnay has managed to eat very little thus resulting in death by annorexia.
The 1st episode starts at Chardonnays funeral. Frank and Tanya make an early exit to attend a wedding (their wedding). Boy that was a surprise - it transpires that the marriage is a business arrangement but Tanya true to form is after Frank's money (little does she know that Frank doesn't have any money). Kyle has gone a little (slight under exaggeration) off the rails since Chardonnays death and has become a gambling addict. Frank, Tanya, Hazel and Roger venture to Thailand to sign up Conrad Gates. Conrad has got himself into some trouble with the triads after getting involved in match fixing and is looking for some quick money and a transfer. He owes the triads quite a lot of money and they are threatening him and his wife Amber. Tanya and Amber take an instant dislike to each other but Tanya feels exactly the opposite about Conrad. It turns out that Jackie Pascoe and Roger Webb are old flames, it doesn't take them long to pick up on their old romance though - Kyle isn't very happy about this. Darius is still pining after Tanya even telling her that he killed Jason for her - this doesn't impress her she tells him that the inquest verdict was suicide - but was it?
Through this series we experience kidnap, murder, an over the top wedding, dog curry, extensive plastic surgery, gambling addiction and a voodoo doll!!. But coming from past series' of Footballer Wives I wouldn't expect anything less.
Its nice to have a few new fresh faces but I was very sad that Jason Turner was killed off at the end of the last series.
I hope that this gives you an insight into Series 3 and I hope I haven't given too much information away.
