I was hooked on the show from the very first episode, its not a serious as the adverts make it out to beyes it is a drama but its very hard to take serious with the outrageous story lines that get even less believable each week - that said its still a fantastic show, although i'd say more a comdey/drama!

About the cast:

CHARDONNAY LANE (Susie Amy) - A glamour model and half of the "golden couple" Chardonnay is engaged to Kyle.

KYLE PASCOE (Gary Lucy) - Striker for Earls Park, engaged to Chardonnay.

JACKIE PASCOE (Gillian Taylforth) - Kyle's mum, very proud of her son, doesn't always see eye to eye with his fiance!

LARA BATEMAN (Lee-anne Baker) - Close friend of Chardonnay, married to the goalkeeper of the team.

JASON TURNER (Cristian Solimento) - Captain of Earls Park, married to Tanya although has a wandering eye

TANYA TURNER (Zoe Lucker) - Chain smoking Tanya lives for her expensive lifestyle and is determind to hang on to her cheating husband! Tanya is my favourite character she makes the show what it is and her arguments with Jason are fabolous!

SALVATOR BAIGI (Daniel Schutzmann) - The teams new signing gets off on the wrong foot with team captain Jason.

IAN WORMSLEY (Nathan Constance) - Another striker for Earls Park, part of the most down - to - earth coupe in the show married to Donna.

DONNA WORMSLEY (Katherine Monaghan) - Young mum who is overwhelmed by all the new found fame and fortune of her husband finds it difficult fitting into the lifestyle.

HOLLY WORMSLEY (Billie Wackrill) - Ian and donna's daughter.

DANIEL DUNCAN (Tyler Jay Gani) - Ian and donna's long lost son.

NOLA DUNCAN (Sharon Miaden) - Daniel's adoptive mum.

MARIE MINSHULL (Micaiah Dring) - Donna's sister obsessed with Jason Turner.

HAZEL BAILEY (Alison Newman) - Jason's agent, also a good friend of Tanya's, another of my favourite characters, she has some cracking lines throughout the series.

STEFAN HAUSER (Philip Bretheron) - Manager of the team.

ARCHIE MALLOCH (Sam Graham) - Team coach.

FRANK LASLETT (John Forgeham) - Chairman of the team.

MARGUERITE LASLETT (Paula Wilcox) - Franks x-wife.

NURSE JANETTE GRAND (Julie LeGrand) - Franks nurse.

About the show:

The show is set around the lives of the wives of footballer's who play for a team called Earls Park, it shows their very glamorous lifestyle and relationships don't be fooled by the title ther's almost nothing about the actual "football" at all its al set around the games and in training and you never really see any of thier matches!

The last sereis was left on a cliffhanger with Holly Walmsley being kidnapped and Hazel coming up with a plan to end Tanya and Franks affair, this is refreshed at the beginning of the first episode on this DVD.

Here's a little about each episode that'll give you an insight into what its al about but that hopefully doesn't spoil it if you watch it!

EPISODE 1 JUST CAN'T GIVE UP - Jackie gives birth to a baby called Paddy who is to be adopted by yle and Chardonnay but Jackies maternal instincts kick in and begin to cause problems. Holly Walmsley is still missing but that doesn't seem to bother her mum Donna too much because she is carrying on with her affair with Salvatori, whilst her husband Ian's depression is getting even worse. Jason starts to suspect that the baby (Paddy) is not who he's supposed to be and Tanya's case against Frank carries on.

EPISODE 2 THE TIES THAT BIND - A body is found in a pool and Kyle is the number one suspect and is only saved by Jason's agent. Chardonnay gets upset with Jackie because of the way she treats Paddy. Ian gets Holly back but comes home to catch his wife with Salvatori.

EPISODE 3 GO FOR THE OVERALL - Jason is sure that Paddy is his and tells Jackie he'll do anything he can to get his baby back. Tanya is arrested and Jason decides enough is enough and tells Tanya there relationship is over. Paddy is christened but of course being footballers wives it doesn't run smoothlly.

EPISODE 4 AND WITH THE NEW - Jason plans to snatch Paddy but Kyle gets wind of it causing Jason to take drastic action. There is a new signing for the team and Tanya uses him to get back at Jason. Ian gets over his depression and seems to be coping fine much to the disgust of Donna who has now moved in with Salvatori.

EPISODE 5 A CHANGE OF CAREER - Paddy is rushed to hospital with an extremly rare condition. Tanya is given community service in an old peoples home. Chardonnay is heartbroken when she see's how well Jackie and Jason are taking to parenthood.

EPISODE 6 FACING THE TRUTH - Jason tells tanya the truth about paddy and Tanya uses this information to bribe Jason. Jackie had to explain Paddys rare condition to her family.

EPISODE 7 BITTER MEDICINE - Hazel tells Jason and Tanya that they must to arguing with Kyle and Chardonnay. Nurse Dunkley trys to balckmail Tanya but as always Tanya is one step ahead.

EPISODE 8 FALL FROM GRACE - Jason and Tanya are due to get married but being footabllers wives its not going to go without a hitch, this episode had me on the edge of my seat throughout, Tanya and Jason end up on the roof arguing and someone ends up being "pushed" off!!!

The set comes on 3 DVD's in one box, they have an approximate running time of 7hours. It comes with special features which are: A day on the set with tanya (a great insight into how the programme is made) How to be a Footballers Wife (really funny) Outtakes and an exclusive trailer.

I really like the way the whole series comes inone box set, especially because there are cliffhangers at the end of every episode and i can't wait to watch the episode after!

The story lines are pretty far fetched and not very believeable but if you watch it expecting to veiw a light hearted entertaining show you won't be dissapointed! I'd recommend it to anyone i am truly hooked!

Being the second series you do need to have seen the first one to really undertand whats going on in the second one so i wouldn't recommend this to be who haven't seen the first series, but i would say go and watch the first series so you can catch up!
