Advantages: Full Concert Performance of Dark Side of the Moon.... Disadvantages: Took almost 12 Years to be released....
...It seems very ironic indeed, that the Day this newly released DVD package dropped through my letter box, that Sky News were releasing details of the rather sad news that Roger " Syd" Barrett had passed away.....
For those of you that don't recognise the name Syd Barrett, and there will be quite a lot of people that don't, Mr Barrett was one of the founder members of Pink Floyd, and the inspiration that put the Band on the map in the first place, all those Years ago,and possibly without his influence, The Pink Floyd and this DVD would never have seen the light of Day, neither would the rest of the repertoire of Pink Floyd either....

Advantages: Brilliant animation, soundtrack and direction Disadvantages: Might take you a few watches to 'get it'
...This film was my first experience of Pink Floyd when my girlfriend was watching it with her family. (who, co-incidentally, saw the 'Pulse' gig 2 days before it was filmed.)
Anyway, this film is stunning. For me, it took a good 20 minutes for it to really get going. It doesnt stop after that! It goes from stregnth to stregth, reference to reference. Absolutely brilliant.
The animation on this is superb. I especially enjoy the famous ;'hammers' scene at the end - masterful stuff.
One thing that really hit me with the DVD version of this was the extras that were involved. The interview with Roger Waters is brilliant, great to see him again!
I can also reccomend teh commentary. If at any point you dont understand the film, the commentary assists you in explaning everything.
Anyway, brilliant film. If you have liked any Pink Floyd...

Advantages: Good gig, a collection of good songs, with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour on guitar Disadvantages: Not the greatest range of extras, some dodgy effects, and a few rotten songs

I have not copied it - that was written by me and is offered here to hopefully be of use to someone who is interested in this DVD. If it appears anywhere online but there, then it has been copied from my site without my permission. I hope this note acts as a sufficient disclaimer. S.F. Sorrow is, arguably, the first concept album/rock opera ever recorded - it was out a whole year before The Who came along with Tommy. It was the fourth Pretty Things album, was produced...
