...Joan Plowright, Cher, Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Lily Tomlinson. Whaty do they have in common? Well they are the proud actress' of Tea With Mussolini the true life Drama of five Women fighting to stay in FLorence in the Time of the second world war.
Lucas is the main character who is a little boy who Joan Plowright brings up and his mother has died and hism other doesn't wanna know.
It's basically of their fight for their lives and their right to stay in Florence around the time of world war two. Mussolin was the leader of Italy at that time.
This is a film basically of don't judge a book by it's cover as it's fantastic. The Cast do make it better of course and all get into their characters well.
The ending is heart warming and enjoyable for any kind of person. Enjoy!!...

Advantages: Ridley Scott's Direction and the Cinematography Disadvantages: None
...After hearing a lot about this film before it came out, I was kind of excited about seeing it, but also dreading it.
I have to say though, that in my opinion this movie is a lot better than 'Silence of the Lambs'. The film looks beautiful, Florence and Washington DC in particular look great. The music is superb, especially the opera sequence (which I found out later was composed especially for this film).
The relationship between the leads is a lot stronger in this movie and develops that significantly, to the point where pursuer and pursued are almost 'looking out' for each other.
There were a few scenes (especially towards the end) which are very shocking, the violence however is totally in conext and the scariest thing about this movie is the waiting for the scary bits!....

Advantages: good photography Disadvantages: boring,non-existent script
...I was so disappointed when i watched "Hannibal",earlier this year. The "Silence of the lambs"is one of the best thrilers ever.I remember watching it in the movie theatre in 1990 and been so excited afterwards.
The complete opposite happened when i watched the sequel. It was BORING!The big problem was of course the script.Idiotic, didn't add anything that we hadn't seen in the original.Anthony Hopkins looks bored, and his performance doesn't compare with the one in the "Silece". Jodi Foster was much better than Julian Moore and her decision not to reprise her part, was a wise one.
Dr Lecter lives in Florence now and one of his victims plus the FBI,try to locate him.The whole film is a chase and the ending extremely unimaginative. It made think that I lost my time.
Don't bother watching it....
