A space ship is launched for the first landing on Mars. But when they get there Mars is full of Martians and they are not the friendliest bunch. The Martians are running low on all of their resources and plan to invade and occupy the Earth.
The scientist and big mouth reporter who accompanied them are Earths only hope of stopping the invasion. The Martians turn out to look exactly like humans! There is a love interest to the story and some weird looking weapons.
The plot of the movie is poor and smacked of ‘first men in the moon’. The special effects where above average for the day it was made and the acting was good apart from the Martians who way over acted and hammed it up far too much. The actors alk around looking a bit dazed as if they are nit sure waht they are doing there, I quite agree.
A so-so movie and the jury is sill out on this one.
Worth one watch, but no more.
