Fist Of The North Star (DVD)

Advantages: Classic, must seen
Disadvantages: To fit in a short space in a DVD, it is a badly edited version of a long tv series

...and violent manga. Fist of the north star is set in the future (nuclear aftermath) where earth is a desert. Gangs roam the land, and the fought for food and water. In that time, there was a martial art master with a few students. Some of the student want to offically inherite his martial art master title, but he decided to pass his title to Ken (the main charater) due to the fact that Ken have a pure intention. Ken became the "fist of the north star". ...
...even tho when he drawn fist of north star, he had not perfected his skill. He excel in male fight scene, and his take on action is very violent, but novel. He is most famous for 3 manga series. His first series is fist of the north star, which is drawn in the 70's It is based in the future. His second series is based in the present, and it is drawn in the 80's. ...The Animation in this Fist of The North Star TV series is not the best. In fact they look pretty silly. But if you look past this (it was after all made in the mid-1980s) the Disc contains 210 minutes of escapism (especially for Manga fans). But the DVD does have its moments particularly when the animation freezes to announce Kenshiro's fighting moves. Excellent Stuff. This DVD contains the Episodes 8-14 of the Series and can be viewed in both English ...
...people to watch it in English simply because the characters look "Western" and hence it sounds rather strange in Japanese (with English subtitles). Fist of The North Star, fist of the what! I had never ever heard of this film before and was a little annoyed at my mate for suggesting we watched it, anyway I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and sat to ready to bore myself and how right I was!
