Advantages: Bruce Lee, silly little aspects, fight scenes, Bobby Baker, first ever nunchaku use on film Disadvantages: nothing really except the direction.... very static
...This film is a fictional story based on a real event. A famous Chinese kung fu fighter was poisoned by the Japanese in turn of the century China. This much is true (as shown in the later film 'Legend').
Bruce Lee plays his top student who has moved away to another part of China. When he hears of his instructors death he races to be at the funeral disbelieving his death.
Bruce's character then seeks to find his master's killers and revenge his death. A simple storyline but one which showcases Bruce extraordinary talent. His acting is never going to win an Oscar but bear in mind that this was made for the Chinese audiences not Western ones. The culture gap and acting expectations differ beyond what we consider good but one thing communicates itself wonderfully regardless of whether it is seen in the West, in Asia, in the Middle East...

Advantages: Total uncut, as it should be Disadvantages: None
...the Japanese out in force as it's the Honk Ku Karate school that turns out to be behind it all.
With Chen on the run from the police and with a major revenge plan for his teachers death, fights break out all over ending with almost all of his school being killed, but not before some fantastic fights of his own.
Being uncut it's a must for all fans, watch out for the great scene in the Hong Ku gym, where Lee with his nanchaku takes out the whole lot of them.
Great film, Great action. I only hope that they release Bruce Lee's other films uncut soon, it's certainly about time.
As a quick update, i was asked the price via a member comment.
If you go to woolworths you can get it for £16.99 Elswhere it is listed at £19.99 I hope that helps.....

...Whilst channel hopping on the old remote the other night i came across "Fist of Fury" on channel five. I was quite supprized to see this classic Bruce Lee film on TV. I had only ever seen it on my DVD set of Bruce Lee or on a video that I onced owned, when they were all the fashion.
So naturaly, being a big fan, I tuned in to watch as i hadnt seen it for a while. What supprized me even more was that it was also uncut!
This in my opinion was the film Bruce Lee made which had the most fight scenes in as opposed to the others, Which had thier fair share of fighting in, were more structured in thier story lines.
The base of the story, like many old chinese films, was of revenge. In this case the revenge was for his teacher. Bruce Lee plays Chen Zhen who single handed takes revenge on the culprits. The enemy is a japanese run school...
