The story is about a kung fu school in early China when the Japanese ruled almost everywhere oppressing everyone. Bruce Lee playing the role of Chen returns to the school after time away to find his mentor and teacher is dead, actually in the process of being buried. He later concludes that it was murder.
As the story moves on Chen finds the culprits and kills them, this of course brings the Japanese out in force as it's the Honk Ku Karate school that turns out to be behind it all. With Chen on the run from the police and with a major revenge plan for his teachers death, fights break out all over ending with almost all of his school being killed, but not before some fantastic fights of his own.
Being uncut it's a must for all fans, watch out for the great scene in the Hong Ku gym, where Lee with his nanchaku takes out the whole lot of them. Great film, Great action. I only hope that they release Bruce Lee's other films uncut soon, it's certainly about time.
As a quick update, i was asked the price via a member comment. If you go to woolworths you can get it for £16.99 Elswhere it is listed at £19.99 I hope that helps..
Advantages: Excellent original fight sequences Disadvantages: Editing and production is showing its age
...Bruce Lees second film, Fist of Fury, is my favourite Bruce Lee film.
Made in 1972, the story is set in Shanghai, where Bruces character, Chen Chen, returns to Shanghai to attend the funeral of his Kung-Fu master who died under mysterious circumstances. As the school goes through a transition period from one master teacher to another, a rival Japanese school challenges the Chinese school, and after a degree of racist taunting, envoke Chen Chen to ... ...and Way of the Dragon, Fist of Fury has a very powerful story, giving reason for the astounding fight sequences. This film contains fight sequences where Bruce Lee takes on a whole school of martial artists, and also includes scenes of Bruce taking on Japanese swordsmen unarmed.
This film is sold at about £7 or so, maybe less. It is a classic film, but its production and editing is showing its age. Definitely worth having in your action video collection! ...

Whilst channel hopping on the old remote the other night i came across "Fist of Fury" on channel five. I was quite supprized to see this classic Bruce Lee film on TV. I had only ever seen it on my DVD set of Bruce Lee or on a video that I onced owned, when they were all the fashion.
So naturaly, being a big fan, I tuned in to watch as i hadnt seen it for a while. What supprized me even more was that it was also uncut!
This in my opinion was the ... ...in as opposed to the others, Which had thier fair share of fighting in, were more structured in thier story lines. The base of the story, like many old chinese films, was of revenge. In this case the revenge was for his teacher. Bruce Lee plays Chen Zhen who single handed takes revenge on the culprits. The enemy is a japanese run school. Chinese v Japanese was a big thing in the old days and is the plot of many chinese films. The fight scenes are ...

It is about Chen Jun (Bruce Lee) a martial art student returning to his school in Shanghai and finds he is in a funeral for his teacher. Everyone thought the death was natural cause but later finding that the kung fu master was poisoned. Chen Jun believes he knows who were responsible for the murder and wants to takes justice in his own hands but was prevented by the school and the police.

Later Chen Jun realise the murder was to do with the Japanese school and he takes action with his own hands…… and legs. Now on the run from the police and the school is being blamed for his actions… something has to be done to stop everyone from killing each other. The acting are great, you really feel the emotion from the sadness and anger. The fight scenes ...

Advantages: Superb martial arts Disadvantages: Lo Wei and Bruce Lee, never made another film together after this
Fist of Fury Hailed as Bruce Lee's most violent film ever. This is one of Bruce Lee’s best films but is not his most violent. The film is set in 1900 Shanghai. When a Kung Fu teacher dies mysteriously. Chen Chen (Bruce Lee) decides to take it upon himself to find out how he died. His mission is easier by the Japanese, who are trying to take over the Kung Fu school. In Fist of Fury Bruce Lee plays Chen Chen who is seeking revenge on the people who ... ...who actually poisoned his teacher he goes after the men behind the operation. He is faced with a deadly Russian fighter, a Samurai and their best students. This film is probably Bruce Lee's best acting performance, as he goes through many different emotions in the film.
