I have avoided reviewing the product of the week for two reasons: Firstly, I never felt I really had any invested interest in the products that were available each week and secondly, I found it a bit tedious (Like many I imagine) to continue to read review about the same thing over and over again while still remaining unbiased and I felt I couldn?t expect anyone else to do so with any more gusto then I could muster up.
Imagine my surprise then, when I discover, this week?s product is the ultimate comedy classic A Fish Called Wanda ? a film that I have seen many, many times and can never run out of things to say about it.
So for all you poor Wanda virgins, enjoy just a tiny glimpse into the film classic that is ?A Fish Called Wanda?.
Director: Charles Crichton
Writers: John Cleese and Charles Crichton
Actors: John Cleese, Kevin ...
Advantages: De Vito, Bonham Carter and Lange. Some great sets and effects Disadvantages: Self indulgent, self aggradising, sentimental, saccharine soaked story - which misses the real point..

There?s nothing modest about the film?s ambition but there?s no denying the masterful touches with which Burton brings to life the fantasy alter-world in which the majority of the story is set. So it?s not a bad start ...

Advantages: Very funny , great characters , great performances , good plot , farce Disadvantages: Perhaps a little dated now.

As such, it was a wee bit of a disappointing film to me. However, I only mean a very small wee(gosh I hope you know what I mean)bit.
The plot revolves around an American couples visit to England. Wanda, a sex bomb of a con artist and Otto, a jewel thief have planned, and are to carry out a diamond robbery in London. The plot involves a double cross, deceit and murder all of which is carried out in ludicrous circumstances.
Michael Palin best known for Monty Python and more recently Pole to Pole on British televisions, plays a stuttering character, who is not as foolish as his opponents think. As the down to earth Ken, he portrays this character well. For me, Ken ...
