The Plot ========
First Daughter is a romantic comedy film released in 2004. It stars Katie Holmes as Samantha Mackenzie, the president's daughter who enrols at a college and develops a relationship with another student at the college called James. Samantha feels she is given a new sense of freedom during her time away from the White House, and the advantages and disadvantages of her college life and education.
She wants to experience life without all the media attention and the pressures of living at the white house. No matter what she does though she always seems to upset her father with bad publicity. She basically wants to live a normal teenage life; instead she is hounded by the media, and is constantly guarded by bodyguards. Despite all this she manages to meet a lad called James and they spend a lot of time together, and grow really close. Even though this is very short lived.
She also gets on very well with her new roommate, Mia, but Mia's jealousy causes a rift between them. I won't spoil the story though and tell you too much about it.

My opinions on the film ====================
I did love this film and would definitely watch it again. The acting is good, and with the storyline is a story that you could really believe would happen in real life, and it makes you wonder if that is really like to be famous. If it were then I would not want it loll. The acting just makes it more real. Katie plays a brilliant role in the film and makes you feel truly sorry for her.
I will admit at one point in the film I did cry but shhh don't tell anyone loll. The film also made me laugh a lot more than anything else. When Sam first found real freedom at college it is what we all take for granted, I think it made me realise that nothing should be taken for granted.
There was not really any need for any great special effects in this film but everything was great, a good soundtrack too. There is nothing really i can say bad about this film.
The film has a PG rating, but I would let my kids watch it anytime without me been there. It truly was a great fun film to watch, and now I might just watch it again with my kids tonight loll.
Ok just looked at my review may i apologise for how the underlining looks it looks ok under my draft so don't know why its like that
