Clint's Finest Hour
Review of Unforgiven DVD by
JSpencer
Advantages: Very absorbing, well directed and acted
Disadvantages: None
...Unforgiven is an immensely absorbing western about a violent killer who has to face up to his own past and doesn't like what he sees, and his hopes for redemption. Right, after the useless trivia, an assessment of the film. Now, this film is actually about Jesus, but revolves around the main character Judah Ben-Hur (Charlton Heston), and his "evolution" from Roman magnate to Christian. The climax of the film (as everyone knows) is the chariot race, which is still one of the finest pieces of cinematography ever shot in my humble opinion. However, after...
