I watched this movie on Disney channel in the evening. It's a fun filled family movie. It's full of real emotions made me laughed and at the same it made me cry. I loved the father and son relationship its so real its like the relationship we all share with our father you know, at least It was very real to me, like in the movie my father is also over protective and over possessive for me, he's very loving and caring also, but what they don't realize is that they have to give us a little freedom so that we can experience life, and we can only learn new things if we experience life I wish my dad watched the movie but he's not that much into movies as I'm I live, eat and drink movies its like my hobby. This movie is very close to my heart and is very special to me and will always be....
---Story---
It's a story about a clown fish Marlin who is over possessive for his son Nemo. He is overprotective and a very loving and caring father. Where as his son Nemo is full of energy and is ready to face the world. Now the story begins with a conversation between Marlin and Nemo, now they are fighting over a issue i.e. Nemo wants to go to school but Marlin doesn't want him to go as he thinks he is not ready for it now and will not be able to face the world, he thinks he's too small, now Nemo's one hand i.e. one of his fin is smaller in size than the normal and makes Marlin even more concerned and he thinks that he might not be able to swim as a normal fish, he's really scared to let him go. Whereas Nemo wants to be free and enjoy life. After
a brief discussion Marlin agrees and takes Nemo to school but he's not yet sure whether he'll manage on his own. Marlin and Nemo reach school and there's lots of other kid fishes attending the school. Marlin does Nemo's admission and then he takes him to attend his first class however he wants to stay with him so that he doesn't get hurt in any way. The teacher introduces Nemo to the rest of the kids and assures Marlin that his son is in safe hands and he shouldn't worry about it. Now Marlin agrees and lets Nemo to attend his first class. Now the teacher carries all the kids on his back and takes them across the sea. Meanwhile some of the naughty kids plan to bunk the classes and Nemo also want to do the same. So then they reach to there destination and the teacher starts explaining the kids. Now the naughty kids and Nemo have a conversation about going to the top of the sea (they also see the ship) which is a dangerous place so as they were talking about it Marlin comes from behind and tell Nemo not to go there (he was probably following them as he was really concerned for Nemo) now Nemo feels offended and he thinks his dad is interfering in his life and not letting him enjoy. So he gets angry and says that he's going up he then goes up the sea now some humans were scuba diving and one of them sees Nemo and catches it (it all happens really fast) Marlin sees all that happen he sees that his son is captured and shouts loud "Nemo Nemo" and Nemo also get scared gets shouts out "dad dad". Now Marlin follows the ship but as everyone knows it would hard for a ships speed would be very fast and a fish won't be able to match up to it, so Marlin tries hard but he's not able to save Nemo and gets lost and losses the sight of the ship too. Now it's the entry of the third important character of the story that's Dory (she is a blue tang fish). Now Marlin is lost and is searching for the ship and then he sees Dory and asks if she has seen the ship and there comes the reply "what a ship yes I have seen it" and then Marlin says" where where, take me there" so Dory takes Marlin to the ship. Now Dory has this problem that she hardly remembers things and she won't even remember things which happened seconds ago. So Marlin is following Dory in the thinking that she might tell him where it is but then Dory say" why he hell are you following me..." and Marlin says" what I'm not following you you only told me that you'll show me the way to the ship.." then Dory says"""mmmm ship sh..." then she tells Marlin that she can't remember things for long time. Marlin was dumbstruck and then he thinks what will I do know, then he tells Dory all the story that about what happened and how his son Nemo was captured and then he had been following the ship and...,Dory felt sad for Marlin and then she plans to help him. So both Marlin and Dory set out on a journey to find Nemo. In their journey they are faced with sharks, deep-sea anglers, fields of poisonous jellyfish, sea turtles, pelicans, and much more. The really funny part was that the sharks had turned vegetarian and were now friends with fishes that whole part involving the sharks was amazing real fun I must admit. Also Marlin gets out of his shell and reveals his inner bravery and is destined to find his son. Meanwhile Nemo is taken to the dentist clinic (the scuba diver) where it's put into his aquarium which had lots of other fishes (a lot of variety of fishes), he has some great experiences there… So watch the movie to find out how Marlin tackles all the situations in his journey to find his dearest son nemo and how the story unfolds itself…..
NB: Some conversations might not be accurate and I have tried to tell the story in my way and I don't plan to offend anyone, so if make some mistake please bear with me.
---The Making of the movie---
I saw the making of the movie on TV quite sometime after I watched the movie. I really love to watch the making of a movie I loved its like reliving all the moments and seeing how it was made is a totally different experience, you get to know the actors really well and get to see some bloopers too, you get to see how the movie was made and its really nice to watch the making of a movie. First the animators and the director had to learn about all the different types and species of fishes as the movie was required to be real and believable and you can see that all the fishes in the movie are real and have there own striking characteristics. The also make sure to keep the little details about the fish like there fins how they moved, check out the way the fins of Marlin and Dory move they are totally different, Dory moves her fins in forward and backward direction whereas for Marlin its kind of a circular motion. Marlin and Nemo were gummy fish or clown fish. Dory was a jelly fish. I came to know in the making that Dory was played by Ellen degenerous I really love she's an amazing person and I just love her show. I think Ellen was perfect for Dory's role I think she's really funny and spontaneous and she perfectly fitted Dory's character.
I must tell that it requires a lot of handwork and patience to make such a movie and we the viewers aren't aware of it and I would totally recommend all f you to watch
Pictures of Finding Nemo (DVD)
This is my favorite picture,I love the shark...
the making it's a really different feeling....
---Animation---
The animation is astonishing I think it's perfect. I just the animation in the movie it was so real and it never felt like we are watching an animated movie it was like its actually happening in front of you. They wanted to create the look of a real underwater environment so they recreated several components of the ocean, particulate matter (particles, like specks of dust in air); surge and swell (the constant movement); caustic lightning (patterns of light on the ocean floor and shafts of light); murk (how light filters out over distance); reflection and refraction (the look of water from above and below the surface).
---Awards---
The movie got an Oscar for the Best Animated Movie and also received Oscar nominations for Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score and Best sound Editing. It has also won several other awards.
