Final Fantasy VII - Advent children
Review of Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children (Animated) by  Matticus123

Advantages: Fast flowing and action packed
Disadvantages: People who haven't played the game may miss out a little.

...Continuing the amazing plot line from the original Final Fantasy VII game, this film doesn't disappoint. People who played the game will gain more enjoyment from the film with subtle 'in-jokes', however the useful reminder of the complicated plot from the game at the start of the film brings the non-gamers up to speed well. The level of detail in the animation makes this a film of beauty! The fight scenes are fast and action-packed and appear regularly throughout the film. Overall this was a great film with brilliantly animated fight scenes. For me, the gradual introduction of all the original characters from the game brought back memories from the first time I played through the game. Great film! I never get bored watching it!... Review of Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children (Animated) by  ruf_200

Advantages: Beautiful graphics, closure on the final fantasy 7 story
Disadvantages: may be a bit confusing for people who have not played the game

...As an avid fan of the Final Fantasy 7 gaming series on the playstation i found this film very entertaining, the film is still enjoyable if the user has not played the game but it may be a bit confusing, however the dvd does have a quick sumize of the game which lasts about 20 minutes and then the usr should understand the film alot better. The film itself is created with beautiful CGI graphics and the English dubbed voices are well lip-synced. The The story composes of a lot of action and slowley unfolds the story with a few good twists, the characters are generally carried on from the game itself however there are may new characters. A great film for anyone but a better experiance for the avid fan... Read review

Final Fantasy VII Advent Children
Review of Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children (Animated) by  Twiglish

Advantages: FANTASTIC!!!!
Disadvantages: need to know what went on in the game

...i am a keen fan of Final Fatasy anything and when this long awaited dvd was release it was worth waiting for... we find ourselves back with Cloud and the Gang from the previous Final Fantasy VII game, Meteor is gone, but there is a new infliction on the world. top it off, a bunch of Sephiroth wannabes are hasseling everyone... It's a bit hard to follow but graphics are amazing and some well known faces reappear. the draw back is that you kinda need to know what went on towards the end of the PS1 game, but it's not the end of the world (or is it) as there is a synopsis. Also comes with interviews with the creators and of corse Fantastic music also!!!!... Read review
