The idea behind this movie is great and I really wanted to like it...but couldn't for a number of reasons.

The Plot

Some American college student are going on a school trip to France. They get everything prepared, even get on the plane and then one of tehm has a vision that the plane is going to explode and they are all going to be killed. He flips out and is thrown off the plane along with some fellow students and a teacher who also got involved in the ensuing melee. The plane takes off and does indeed explode just the way he saw it. However, this is where the strange bit begins, because apparently death is not happy about being cheated out of his victims and starts reclaiming them one by one in a variety of inventive accidents...but can our prophetic hero cheat death again and save them all from death's clutches...

So what the problem?

Well basically once again we have a horror movie full of unknown American 'kids' who couldn't act their way out of a paper bag. We have seen this all before in the Nightmare On Elms Street series, Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, etc. etc. and quite frankly its getting boring. The acting here is attrocious, with great clunking stereotypes and once again there is the attempt to inject some humour into the proceedings which falls flat. If its a horror movie, then keep it as such and for heaven's sake get some people who can act. Anyway gripe over, this movie still fails to hit the spot. It is simply too slow moving and far too obvious from the start what will befall them all to be of any interest. The 'accidents' are almost cartoonish and therefore hardly scary and the reaction of those who know they are being hunted by 'death' is almost as if they have been told they got a D for their homework. Quite simply, its lifeless and not worthy of your viewing time - well only if there's nothing better to watch. Its not that its attrocious, just that there are far better movies out there and that this could have been handled so much better by a more talented director and a decent cast.

Great idea - pooorly executed.
