Firstly i think that the 3 final destination films is the funniest collection which is supposedly horror. And for once the producers are not asking for an astronomical price just because it is a box set, in fact the price of the box set is just a few more pounds than the third film alone.
The first of the films is probably the best because the storyline was new and had never been done before. It starts with a group of students about to fly out on a school trip, one of them gets a preminition that the plane is going to explode, so the group get off the plane and end up watching it fly off and guess what... it explodes. This leads to members of the group dying is somewhat strange circumstances, in one case dying because he sliped in the shower and then managed to end up with a wire wrapped round his neck, and iknock shampoo into the bath in his struggle which meant he could not grip onto the floor to take the strain off his neck so therefore died. I won't go into the rest of the deaths/storyline because it would sploil it for anyone who has for some reason not seen this film.
The second film in my opinion is the weakest of the three, it seems to me that the some of the death sequences are a little farfetched, but they are still very humourous. The storlyline works on the same basis that a student has a preminition that there is going to be a huge pile-up on the motorway... and there is. So again death seems to be after all of those who avoided the crash, and in almost all of the death scenes i cant help but laugh because it is so unbeleavable.
The last of the films is the best in my opinion. After the second film which was a bit of a let down, this the third film has made up all the difference and more. The film starts with the group of students at the funfair, they want to go on the rollercoaster, but when their friend who is a photographer starts to notice wierd things in his photos he tells everyone that he thinks something bad is going to happen. It does. The rollercoaster derails and produces a great sequence to start the film off. As usual now death is after them and some of the death scenes are pure genius with a pair dying in sunbeds when they lock and wont let them out, therfore getting fried alive. If that doesnt put you off I dont know what will. I really dont want to spoil this film for you, it really is something you have to see.
I would recommend this film to almost everybody who loves comedy and horror. Don't hesitate to go out and buy this box set expecialy at this price. A++++
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
just brought this boxset on play.com in the sale, couldn't beleive the price. Think the third one was great with the rollercoaster, did put me off alton towers for a while. The review was good, but maybe a little basic, a bit more in-depth information would increase the rating. Let me know if you update it in the future.! x
