Advantages: An aesthetically pleasing collection Disadvantages: Some rather poor inclusions
A selection of classic Hammer films from the very good to...not so good. An aesthetically pleasing set for fans of the studio, or those wanting at least half of the titles. Features star favourites Peter Cushing, Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress and Christopher Lee (about whom there is an interesting documentary with 'Scars of Dracula').
The extra features vary greatly, the biggest ommission, in my opinion, is the total absence of subtitles for the hearing impaired.
For those who are interested all films are anamorphic, some for the first time, and completely uncut.
My personal favourite was the inclusion of the 1965 film 'The Nanny' which stars a very chilling Bette Davis in a well scripted, and often overlooked role.
Probably a tad overpriced for most, but new DVD versions of individual films are also available, so take ...

If you are a pink panther or peter sellers fan get this in your collection now, it has everything, all the films a nice load of extras and comes packaged really nicely.
The films are all really good and some of which you will remember from being shown around christmas on tv.
The price is very cheap and very reasonable value for money.
There are no real special effects due to the age of the filmsin question.
Dont watch the modern versions of the pink panther film stick to the original as peter sellers is a master.
Please please please buy this collection now and make sure that you watch all the special features, i am sure you will not be able to put the films down once you start ...
Advantages: A good Comdey Disadvantages: Can seem to last a bit to long
When I thought of the Pink Panther, I did not actually think of these films, I honestly thought of the little cartoon based on the films which are also featured in this DVD boxset, the films themselves are classics and are decent in their own right. The first 2 filmsin the set are the best of the lot, while the rest of them just seem to be a bit long winded and they start to loose a bit of the apeal.
They are still a great comedy to watch and I would recomend it as a great boxset worth the amount you pay. I would recomend watching them in a row, but with a bit of time between them otherwise you can get a bit bored.
I was deffinatly glad that it included the wonderful cartoons that I remembered from my childhood, they were as brillent as I remebered and I probably would have bought a DVD with just them on. ...
