Advantages: Norton at his best, with a buffed Pitt and a fantastic cast. Disadvantages: You will have to watch it more than once, not really a bad thing!
...add to you're collection. Fight Club is a psycological thriller that will make you rack your brain throughout the film to a climaxing end which does not disappoint. Edward Norton stars as the main character and narrator throughout the film, his name is never mentioned throughout. This film has something for both sexes and plently with open minds. There are many scenes with Pitt toned to the max to keep his army of fans very happy. Pitts portrayal of Durden is both believable and incredibly awesome. The musical score by the Dust Brothers during the film, especially at the beginning ...

Advantages: Dialogue, style, performances, plot. Disadvantages: Often confusing, dark
...This film really hits home with the inadquecies and disillusion that exists with being a modern day male. At first glance the film appears to be simply about fighting (and the viewer is greatly misled by the trailer), however there is so much more here. Largely forming a mockery of the social and commercial issues of todays world, it strives to break against accepted standards and excels. With strong performances from Edward Norton, Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham-Carter the view is obligied to act as a tourist through the mindset of a very disturbed individual. The direction of David Fincher is also edgy and appropriate in style, and it is one of the cases where the book has been adapted perfectly for the screen (Even the author, Chuck Palahniuk prefered the film's ending as opposed to the one he had envisioned.)...

Advantages: Great storyline Disadvantages: Slow to start
...This is a great film- the storyline is fresh and unique, and keeps you guessing all the way. There are twists all the way through, and the special effects are great. Edward Norton and Brad Pitt are great together, Edward Norton being the confused insomniac, and Brad Pitt being his more slick, self- destructive accomplice.. There are some deleted scenes, but to be honest they aren't really worth watching. The film itself however, is something you will find yourself going back to again and again. What starts off as a club where people fight eachother bare- fisted turns into an organised large scale terrorist organisation, run by Tyler Durton. The film is fairly slow to start, but when it starts, it really starts. I would recommend this film to anyone who is wanting some enlightenment....

...FightClub is an amzing film directe dby David Fincher. It si based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk and features some of Hollywood's greatest actors: Edward Norton, Brad Pitt and Helena Bohnam-Carter. This edition of the film includes many extra features like deleted scenes and a narrative voice over. The film is about an insomniac who is caught up in the consumerist society we live in. He befreinds local sop salesman Tyler Durden and the two create a FightClub. The film is not as violent as the title suggest and is more about the ideas behind it. The ending is brilliant and most definitley unpredictable; a major tiwst. The soundtrack is awesome, featuring The Dust Brothers and The Pixies. Amazing film!...

DVD Description
FIGHT CLUB is narrated by a lonely, unfulfilled young man (Edward Norton) who finds his only comfort in feigning terminal illness and attending disease support groups. Hopping from group to group, he encounters another pretender, or 'tourist', the morose Marla Singer (Helena Bonham Carter), who immediately gets under his skin. However, while returning from a business trip, he meets a more intriguing character--the subversive Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt). They become fast friends, bonding over a mutual disgust for corporate consumer-culture hypocrisy. Eventually, the two start Fight Club, which convenes in a bar basement where angry men get to vent their frustrations in brutal, bare-knuckle bouts. Fight Club soon becomes the men's only real priority; when the club starts a cross-country expansion, things start getting really crazy. Like Tyler Durden himself, director David Fincher's FIGHT CLUB, based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk, is startlingly aggressive and gleefully mischievous as it skewers the superficiality of American pop culture. Outstanding performances by Norton and Pitt are supported by a razor-sharp script and an arsenal of stunning visual effects that include computer animation and sleight-of-hand editing. One of the most unique films of the late 20th century, FIGHT CLUB is a pitch-black comedy of striking intensity.
