become reality. Following her grandmother's last wish, Karen (Gina Philips, Jeepers Creepers) reluctantly travels to a remote, run-down mansion to sell the family estate where she grew up. Karen soon realises that she's not alone at the property. Living in the shanty at the horse stables is Pierce (Tom Sizemore, Heat), an odd and mysterious caretaker. With every passing night as she rummages through the dusty house, Karen's fond memories of her childhood turn into nightmares. Haunted, Karen feels relief when her sister arrives, but things only spiral out of control when Pierce becomes increasingly more violent. Suddenly both women find themselves trapped in a house that preys on their greatest fears. Karen has no choice but to face the horrible memory she thought she put behind her and walk the line between bad memories and deadly reality.

Advantages: A gripping thriller Disadvantages: Lack of bonus features on DVD
Fear is an edge of your seat suspenseful thriller that seems to be relatively unknown. It was released in 1996, starring Reece Witherspoon & Mark Wahlberg in two early roles for the both of them. This is a really gripping thriller that deserves a lot more recognition than it gets. I first saw this a couple of years ago when it was on TV at about 2am, it just looked like one of those films that channel 4 put on in the early hours of the morning to fill up their schedule. These films generally tend to be unknown, straight to DVD films that little people watch or even enjoy. This film was different though, I read the synopsis about it & even though it only been given a two star rating I decided to give it a go. I'm no professional but this film should be given way more than two stars & deserves a prime time slot on TV not 2am!
The basic ...

Advantages: A well paced story Disadvantages: Some faceless characters
I've been a fan of Mark Billingham and his DI Tom Thorne character since his debut novel. Like many series do, though, I did feel that a couple of the more recent novels suggested that Billingham was running out of ideas of things to do with Thorne. Late one night, a driver sees a car travelling with no lights on. Being a good citizen, she flashes her own lights to warn them. Unfortunately for her, travelling in the car are some gang members putting one of their number through an initiation. The car turns around and coming alongside, the occupants shoot at her, causing her to swerve off ...
Advantages: Very crisp animation, great opening theme tune Disadvantages: English voice acting,
clear that her heart belongs to none other than?Dark.
So poor Daisuke has to juggle a mother who tries to kill him by laying traps around the house, an unrequited love, stealing artwork, transforming into Dark every time he thinks too much about Risa, and avoiding making himself look suspicious in front of Satoshi. He has his hands full!
The first DVD concerns Daisuke getting to grips with Dark, and with stealing these valuable pieces for his family.
This is DVD 1 of 7 and contains episodes 1 - 4.
Characters: Daisuke is adorable, and until you meet Dark you wonder how on earth he would carry out being a main character. His innocence perfectly balances Dark, so it does work, but you sometimes feel he is a bit weak.
Dark is everything Daisuke is not; tall, strong and good with the ladies. Frequently seen wearing form ...
