listener it'll seem to be before they've even hit Play by looking at the cover and contents. Terry Gilliam's efforts to warp expectation stretch out to you before you've seen or heard a thing. And once you're in, it's a case of blasting from one song to the next via constant nasally-delivered dialogue from Johnny Depp. Strung together they somehow make a sense they never did individually. "One Toke Over The Line", "Expecting To Fly", or "Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again" were never career bests for Brewer & Shipley, Buffalo Springfield, or Bob Dylan. Yet slotted betwixt the likes of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" and Perry Como's "Magic Moments" there's an unexpected chemistry anyone can get high on. --Paul Tonks

Advantages: unconventional comedy, brilliant leads Disadvantages: the film itself is loosely attached to the main 'plot'
Wwhen i first borrowed this film, i was sceptical, i had always loved Johnny Depp's films and wasn't concerned that his acting wasn't going to be as great as in his other films, but reading the back made me wonder what kind of film this was going to be. i am very glad i watched it now, as this was the first film where i saw Depp get completely immersed into his character, with Benicio Del Toro playing an excellent side-kick. the movie itself is somewhat mind-blowing, even without a definitive plot, as the film itself is about Depp's character recording a motorbike race inVegas and yet the main theme appears to be drugs and its effects..
Fear and LoathinginLasVegas is a movie for those who don't necessarily need a set plot, and like their humour more thoughtful, more subtle, slightly psychadelic, yet none the less hilarious ...
Daaaamnnnnn this movie is the best ever! Featuring Johnny Depp, Benicio Del Toro, Tobey Maguire what is directed by Terry Gilliam.
A totally junkie movie. When the journalist and his lawyer are going to a motocycle meeting, and the trips on the way and there and after.
On the way there, they are going with a cadillac, "they were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold". This sentence always associates me for this movie. On the way they pick up an auto stopper and they trip him out that much that the poor guy had to run away when they stopped to snort coke... They are smoking joints in the car, eating LSD that's the REAL life!! At the entrance to LasVegas they see the sign.... Ok I don't remember exactly but there were written that for marijuana 30 years prison and such things... When they ...
Advantages: Gorgeous graphics, intuitive opponents Disadvantages: Single player game a little on the short side
I know it's odd, but the original Rainbow Six Vegas game did absolutely nothing for me; not that it was a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, there just seemed to be other games I wanted to play more at the time it was released, and thus it passed me by. To that end I'm not overly sure why I found myself loading the sequel into my Xbox 360's drive, but I am mightily glad I did. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is a sharp, intelligent and addictive game which I had trouble tearing myself away from once I started playing.
So what's the game all about then?
In a nutshell you run around LasVegas shooting the baddies and rescuing hostages, simple enough. The story centres on team Rainbow Six - a multi-skilled task force given the job of halting the evil Alverez Cabrero from hatching his dastardly plan to bring Sin City to ...

DVD Description
FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS is a whirlwind of a movie, a wacky, drug-laden story backed by a fist-pumping rock and roll soundtrack featuring everything from Wayne Newton and Tom Jones to Combustible Edison and Dead Kennedys. Journalist Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) heads to Las Vegas to cover a motorcycle race, bringing along his Samoan lawyer, Dr. Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro), in this furious adaptation of the book by Hunter S. Thompson. It is 1971, and Duke and Gonzo are on their way to Sin City with a frightened hitchhiker and a trunkful of drugs, which they ingest nonstop. Depp is terrific as Duke, Thompson's alter ego, and Del Toro is a riot as the crazy lawyer. To perfect his Thompsonian performance, Depp spent a lot of time with the good doctor, and it paid off in a film that captures the frenetic pace of the counterculture novel. Director Terry Gilliam, a master of complex, bizarre visual imagery, has a field day interpreting the drug-hazed world in which Duke and Gonzo reside. Includes book.
