Fathers Day,
Starring Robin Williams and Billy Crystal,
We watched this movie last night, and were really looking forward to it, especially see-in it started two of the funniest actors on screen, But what a huge disappointment The story line is of a Mother's teenage son that has gone missing, well not so much missing but more of an infatuation with a girl and is falling over himself to please her.
The Mother is married, but in a frantic effort ... ...old flames, both of which she convinces may be the Father of the tearaway teenager, pretty soon it develops into a road trip farce, as the two men go in search of the boy.
Although Williams and Crystal do their best, the film is so bad nothing really connects, and the whole plot just seems to go astray in several different directions, and not really making any sense at all.
There is some funny parts, but really not worth buying, this is probably ...

Advantages: Lots of Tries Disadvantages: Might not be the ones you want to see
...Lets get one thing straight, Bill Mclaren is the voice of rugby for anyone over 20 who has watched the 5/6 nations on the BBC pre World Cup 2003. I've met the guy at a book signing and you could not meet a nicer bloke if you tried. He had time for everyone and was a sharp as a knife even after what must have been a tiring day.
I was given this DVD by my Father in Law, and old school rugby player who retired in the 70's and I can see what he enjoyed about it. Lots of tries from the 70s and 80s when the played with a proper leather ball and didn't let you lift at the line out.
I would say that its not a bad product, I just wish there were more recent tries that show the immense athletes that modern rugby players are and less tries from the Scots !. I know Bill is a proud Celt, but I'm sure there were better tries in the archives...

Advantages: Sound and picture quality is fantastic Disadvantages: Limited special features
...Kabhi Kabhie is a film which was released in 1976. Apart from winning numerous amount of awards the film is known for the melodious track 'Kabhi Kabhie Mere Dil Mein'. This is truly a classic film, spinning the tale of two lovers and how they cherish their love over the space of two generations.
The superstars of bollywood (Rakhee, Rishi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan) show their true acting skills in this uplifting romantic tale.
As you watch the film, you seem to forget how long it is - almost three hours long - the cinematography does justice to the length of the film.
Now, enough about the film itself...let's get techical.
My father was adament to buy the DVD thinking the sound and overall picture quality would not be the same as it was 'back in the days!' How wrong he was! When you watch the film on DVD...

Advantages: Fantasic cast, acting, and storyline Disadvantages: VERY VERY sad!!!
...This year for Father's Day my little brother bought my dad The Great Escape special edition on dvd. My dad, who isn't that mad on that film took it back and exchanged it for several films including, Pay It Forward. The rest of family watched the film, and all said it was brilliant. Whilst everybody wa out the next day I was pretty bored and so thought I may as well give it a go.
The film started off with a reporter Chris Chandler (Jay Mohr, Jerry Maguire) being given a brand new jaguar by a total stranger, after his car had just been smashed up, the stranger is paying it forward. The film then jumps back in time by 4 months. This is when we see Trevor McKinney (Haley Joel Osment, Sixth Sense), son in the film of drunk Arlene McKinney (Helen Hunt, What Women Want). Trevor is in school, his teacher Eugene Simonet (Kevin Spacey, American...
