Advantages: Hilarious, brilliantly crafted and acted comedy Disadvantages: There'll never be any more episodes
...cold, but I do love Father Ted. This DVD contains all eight excellent episodes from the final series, first broadcast in 1998. Like the others, the series was written by Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews
~~~Setting~~~
The action takes place on Craggy Island, a "God-forsaken hellhole with only a North, South and East side (the West side of the island having broken off in a storm)". Places of interest on Craggy Island include the Holy Stone of Clonrichert ... ...a weakness for gambling.
Father Dougal (Ardal O'Hanlon) is Ted's mind-bogglingly dim sidekick, easily recognisable by his gormless expression and fondness for rollerblading. Advantages: Summary of all episodes Disadvantages: Gives a lot away
Father Ted is a classic British comedy about 3 priests and their house keeper living on a sparsely populated and distant islland called 'Craggy Island'. First of all, i'll give a brief introduction of the main characters:
Father Ted
Father Ted Crilly is depicted as the only normal man on Craggy Island and having to waste his life on the godforsaken island leaves him longing to leave. It was his gambling addiction that got him there when he blew ... ...a punishment for this.
Father Dougal
Father Dougal Maguire has a very low IQ and regularly forgets he said anything half-way through a conversation. He is the backbone of the show and his hilarious personality and vacant expressions get him into difficult situations. Dougal has been struck by lightning and been fine, only finding that balloons stuck to him for a few days!
Father Jack
Father Jack Hackett is a rude and vulgar priest who spends ...
