...a weakness for gambling. Father Dougal (Ardal O'Hanlon) is Ted's mind-bogglingly dim sidekick, easily recognisable by his gormless expression and fondness for rollerblading. It's not entirely clear how Dougal managed to become a priest, as he seems to have only the vaguest grasp of what Catholicism is all about (and indeed tells us he doesn't believe in organised religion). Father Ted is a comedy I am writing on the Father tEd series 3 DVD with a picture of Mrs Doyle on the front. Mrs Doyle is the housekeeper for 3 vicars Father Dougal Maguire, Father Ted Crilly and Father Jack Hackett. I personally like Father Dougal Maguire because he is such an ididot for example he whites his name and forgets their is a D in Dougal.
