of the original six. Series 2, episodes 1 to 5, offers the first half of the season plus the bonus of the 1996 Christmas Special. The Craggy Island parochial house regulars go straight to "Hell" for the most unbearable caravan holiday. Here Graham Norton makes his first appearance as the excruciatingly enthusiastic Father Noel. Then in a leftover script from series one, "Think Fast, Father Ted" has them attempt to rig a raffle at which some Kraftwerk-inspired priests and the record "Ghost Town" are the only entertainment. Their payback is to be the patsies in a rigged "Song For Europe", offering their version of "My Lovely Horse". Ted, Dougal and Jack manage to ensnare the lives of one bishop each into their "Tentacles of Doom" when the Holy Stone of Clonrichert is blessed with an upgrade to holy status. There's not much holy going on when Father "Damo" appears to teach Dougal all manner of bad habits in "The Old Grey Whistle Theft". Finally "A Christmassy Ted" sees seven priests lost in Ireland's largest lingerie store and Father Tod Unctious trying to steal Ted's Golden Cleric Award with reference toMission: Impossible. The second series' wonderful parallel universe more than equals that of the first.On the DVD:From an animated menu fashioned around Mrs Doyle, the only extra is a full-length commentary from co-writer Graham Linehan. As with the previous disc, he's constantly telling jokes and then retracting them along with offering fascinating insights into cameos and dancing auditions. Linehan promises to be more experimental in future commentaries. The picture is naturally in its original 4:3 broadcast ratio. --Paul Tonks

INTRODUCTION TO LOCATION: ========================= Craggy Island is located off the west coast of Ireland and is the most barren, desolated spit of land in the middle of nowhere. On Craggy island there are 3 priests.
They are there for 3 reasons, One had some church funds "resting" in his account, resting there for a very long time! One is thick as feck and caused a ruckus with some nuns. Discreetly know as' The Blackrock Incident'. And the last one for his drinking and womanising! Together with their housekeeper they form the most barmy and insane household in Ireland if not the world.
INTRODUCTION TO CAST: =====================
Father Ted Crilly - Dermot John Morgan ============================== (Born 3 March 1952 - 28 February 1998) Ted is a devious schemer and a fantastic liar but is always being dropped in it by Dougal. ## Sadly, Dermot had a heart attack and died just 3 days before his 46th Birthday, it was also just 24 hours after recording the last episode of Father Ted ##
Father Dougal McGuire - Ardal O'Hanlon ============================== (Born 8 October 1965) Father Dougal is the innocent fool of the group with the mental age of a radish. In his world the sky is always blue and the clouds are made of cotton candy. A bit like his brains. His only other big hit was 'My Hero', where he played George Sunday a dopey Super hero.
Father Jack Hackett - Frank Kelly =========================== (Born 28 December 1938) Father Jack is a foul mouthed drunkard who takes every opportunity to drink anything that is wet, oh except water to which he is allergic,….HE CLAIMS! Frank has not really starred in much else of note. Catchphrases include: "Drink", "Feck", "Arse" and "Girls".
Mrs Doyle - Pauline McLynn (Mrs Doyles first name, though never mentioned, was actually JOAN) ====================== (Born 11 July 1962) Mrs Doyle is their slightly psychotic housekeeper with obsessions about making sandwiches and tea. She also starred in Bremner, Bird and Fortune. Catchphrases include: "Ahh, go on" and "Tea father?"
~Synopsis~ ========== We follow the exploits of the 3 priests as they live their barmy, insane and extremely funny lives on the desolate Island. Everything the try, everything the do is doomed to either failure, embarrassment or destruction. Usually all three.
Their parochial house is ruled over and kept running by the equally insane Mrs Doyle who has had, possibly in the words of the song, her "19th nervous breakdown". But the thing they fear the most is a visit by Bishop Len Brennan who is solely responsible for placing them on the Island in the first place. He hates them with a passion that is only matched by how passionately they fear him.
The Program lasted for three series and what follows is a small recap of each series and each episode within, Enjoy.
Father Ted - Series 2 - Part 2 ======================
Series two - 1997 =======
Episode 6 ------------- The Plague One of the funniest episodes this one. Bishop Brennan hates rabbits, (he was once trapped in a lift with some) and wouldn't you know it Dougal has one for a pet. But one rabbit soon turns into fifty and Bishop Brennans visit is imminent.
Episode 7 -------------- Rock-a-Hula Ted Dopey Dougal gives away the house while Ted is out to a feminist singer (Clare Grogan) and Ted has too bend over backwards to get the house back. Lets hope she doesn't find out about the 'Lovely ladies' competition that Teds running and judging.
Episode 8 -------------- Cigarettes and Alcohol and Rollerblading Another funny one this as Ted, Jack and Dougal give something up for lent. Ted - Cigarettes, Jack - Alcohol and Dougal - Rollerblading. They need help and call in the Nun from Hell!
Episode 9 ------------- New Jack City Father Jack has been drinking the 'Jif' again and his hands have gone to stage 3 of Hairiness. He is put into a nursing home buthis replacement drives the boys up the wall and soon they are planning Jacks 'Great Escape'.
Episode 10 --------------- Flight into Terror Ted, "Dougal, Whatever you do don't press the red button" Dougal dumps all the fuel from the plane upon which he Ted and a truck full of other fathers are on. Ted must act fast to save the day.
~Opinions~ ************** It was surely the introduction of the word "FECK" that made all the difference to the series. To hear a priest saying 'Feck off' is firstly startling and then hilarious. The characters where all well thought through, even the visiting guests and visiting priests where all well written and even had their own funny lines and odd peculiarities superbly written. The casting was also a contributing factor to the shows success, again not just the main characters but the odd bod and extras where well thought through. The show, I believe, had run its course by the end of the third series and really could not have gone much further or gotten much funnier. All in all a great show that will last the test of time.

Alongside Father Ted whom sees to be the brains of the outfit within the series.... although his bright ideas leave him endeouring in trouble. It seems like almost noting will ver go right for the old preist as his fellow aquaintinces Father Dougel & Father Jack, would fondly describe him!
The series is well manipulted turning cheeseyness into the quirk of smiles and laughs! A well masterpeiced comedy! A must see, This series ... ...brainstorming, and looking almost puzzled, Father Jack Stumbles down the stairs into the rather drippy looking front room!
Jack stands with a duck shaped rubber dingey around his waist, whilst Ted and Dougal come to realise that July the 19th is the usual holiday date for temselves! They begin out for there annual holiday. Arriving at the caraven scence with the loss of their trailor on the way! - I wont spoil how they lose it for you!

Father Ted - Series 2 part 2
================
The Series is about 3 priests and their housekeeper. They all live in a decrepit house on Craggy Island. Each episode involves crazy, hilarious and out right barmy situations that happen to them and also that they initiate and end up being caught up in the middle of an insanity tornado.
Father Ted has been banned to this out of the way Parochial house because of his shady past. Which involved some ... ...2 short planks trainee priest.
Father Jack Hackett is a heavy drinker and womaniser, much like a normal priest then?
Mrs Doyle is their tea obsessed house keeper who also has a fetish for making millions of sandwiches.
