Advantages: The acting, the writing, the visual effects. It's the best sci-fi show ever made.
Disadvantages: For this season there were about two episodes that weren't that good.

As 'Farscape' has been given a go ahead for a 4 hour mini-series (which will air in the U.S in October) after it got cancelled at the end of it's magnificent fourth season, I thought I would go back to the first season of Farscape where it all started and just do a short review on the box set. Farscape was one of my favorite shows up until it got cancelled by the Sci-Fi Channel and I couldn't wait for the DVD's to come out, though instead of buying the five individual box sets I waited for the the whole set so I could watch all the episodes together in one go. I bought the Farscape: Season one limited edition set from amazon for £39.99 when it was on sale. That was an excellent deal considering the normal price for the set was around £85. Advantages: Great SCi Fi whith plenty of action and humour plus great storyline

...I happen to be very lucky and have the complete 4 seasons of this fabulous show on dvd. The box sets have great extras, such as the making of the show, interviews with the cast and art work from the design/idea stage. The characters are superb, and they really do gain your attention and you even start feeling strong emotion, even for Rigal, a slug lookalike puppet who is so up himself he nearly turns himslef inside out. This show has great action and the storyline never wains. It grips you from start to finish, and if like me you decide to collect these box sets, don't be amazed if you sit down and watch the entire season (20 episodes), then go on to stick the next season in. Ben Browder and Claudia Black, now star in the new series of Stargate SG1, an I think they will only help enhance that show further. All I can suggest is go out... Read review
