The deliciously satirical comedy that has graced our screens for 7 seasons and entertained me tremendously. Peter, Chris, Meg, Brain and ESPECIALLY my beloved Stewie make up one of my favourite animated comedy by far (beats The Simpsons by far... Sorry). This is definitely not one for the kids and I suggest if you have young impressionable children to hide the television as soon as family guy comes on.
Main Characters Peter - Is your 'typical' lazy, bumbling waste of space father. Who prefers a beer down at The Drunken Clam with his mates Joe, Cleveland, and Quagmire then to spend any time with his family. He is the epicentre of the comedy and always has some astonishingly ridiculous scheme he must achieve by the end of the episode be it getting his favourite show back on air by pretending his son has a terminal illness or selling his daughter to pay off his debt. Personally I can forgive him all of this because it was him that taught me that 'the bird is the word!'
Lois - The stay at home devoted mother who is treated like garbage by her husband and you get the feeling could've become anything she wanted had she not married an idiot. Nothing new here I suppose but I do like the slant that she comes from a very rich family. The shame displayed whenever her family come into contact with her idiotic husband, 'slow' son and unattractive desperate daughter is cringe worthy to watch. In a good way.
Meg and Chris - The lacking children of Peter and Lois pretty much disappointments to both parents. (Yes even Peter!!) It is sinfully funny to laugh at their misgivings and downfalls. Meg definitely gets it worse than Chris and has numerously been told sticking her throat down her throat wouldn't be such a bad idea.
Stewie! Stewie! Stewie! - The little British star he is. A diabolical child genius who is hell bent on killing his mother, somewhat sexually confused and just HILARIOUS! His psychotic tendencies are balanced by his child like qualities i.e. he will kill to protect a teddy bear... LOL.

Advantages: Comic genius Disadvantages: can be a little random.
Family guy is on of the funniest adult humoured cartoons around. Its childlike approach to adult themes and and adult approach to childlike themes make it truely brilliant. This american family who have completely conflicting and individual personalities come together in what i can only describe as an orgy of funny. Peter Griffin the head of the household has a lazy childish approach to life which is emphasised by his weight and voice. Lois Griffin ... ...to their life together and is almost always undermined by peters antics. The kids meg and have the short straw because kris is dumb and meg is always picked on by her dad. Then there is stewie who is hell bent on world domination and killing his arch enemy (HIS MUM) Lois. This whole box set is brilliant with each and every episode giving us something different and new to laugh at. Great Show Lots of laughs! 100% recommend. ...

DVD Description
Features series one to seven of the animated TV comedy. The programme is based around the Griffin family, comprised of bumbling, well-intentioned father Peter; his sweet but oblivious wife Lois; and their teenagers, dim-witted Chris and awkward Meg. The most recognisable characters, however, remain the family's masterminds: evil genius baby Stewie, determined to achieve complete world domination at the age of one, and Brian, an erudite martini-swilling dog, the family's lone voice of reason.
