For people who love animated comedy, this is certainly for you. Self-proclaimed as a cross between The Simpsons and South Park, Family Guy has made its own unique impression on the animated comedy market. For those that don't know with Family Guy is, it follows the lives of the Griffin family (one of the most dysfunctional families on TV). Peter Griffin (the father) is all too similar to Homer Simpson, in that he has good intentions, but can't help but be a bumbling idiot in the process.
Family Guy Season 4 contains 13 hilarious episodes (including Peter and Lois escaping a fatally angry Mel Gibson, Peter going blind from eating too many coins, and Chris being befriended by a talking zit) I think that this particular season is hilarious, despite in my opinion not being perhaps the best, and is the first to feature strong swearing in its uncensored form. Each episode has a commentary from the writers and directors of the shows. The only disadvantage is that there aren't a lot of episodes for its price. At an average price of around £15, 13 episodes does seem a bit too few.
Overall, I thought that this was a highly hilarious season that would fit nicely on anybody's DVD rack.
