I used to watch Family Guy years ago and loved it! When I spotted that the FX channel was replaying Family Guy I got straight back into it and just had to buy all the series on DVD.
If you have a rather odd sense of humour then this will definately please you!
It is like the Simpsons but a much more adult version, and way funnier!
Peter, the overweight "Homer" style character father of the family has me in stiches with his bizarre schemes and adventures - a genie granting his wish to have no bones, winning a golden Wonka-style ticket in his beer, plastic surgery, becoming death0 and declaring independence from the U.S. to name a few.
Lois, the "Marge" mother of the family is the ever suffering mother. Although unlike Marge, she certainly gives as good as she gets and is an awesome drunk!!
Chris is the overweight son who is rather dense and certainly takes after his father but in a very sweet-hearted way. He also has a larger "weiner" that Peter much to Peter's dismay!
Meg is the middle child and is constantly trying to become popular and fails at every turn.
Stewie is the talking baby who is constantly trying to kill Lois and take over the world. Stewie is also a very entertaining drunk!
Brian is the most refined member of the family and likes nothing more than a dry martini. Oh yeah, hes the familys dog, but a gentleman no less. There was that one time whilst working as a sniffer dog that he bacame addicted to coke.
More excellent characters include the evil monkey that lives in Chris's room, the newscasters and sex obsessed Quagmire.
One down side is that if you are British, like me, you may miss some of the many American references, in particular to U.S. shows.
Highly recommended, my boyfriend now loves this show!!
