Family Guy Season 3 DVD
Family guy follows the lives of the Griffin Family, Peter an obese imbecile with a dead end job, Louis a stressed housewife with no life outside her family, Brian the talking dog with an addictive personality, Meg teenage social reject, Chris with an Iq similar to that of a glass of water and Baby Stewie, the toddler Genius with both Homicidal and Homosexual tendencies. Sounds like a messed up family? Damn right it is.
In this the third series of the hit comedy from FOX are all 21 episodes, including the classics: The thin white line, Brian does Hollywood, Screwed the pooch, Mr Saturday Knight and A very special family guy freakin’ Christmas.
I have always been a very big fan of Seth McFarlane and his work but Family guy has to be his greatest work, unfortunately this is the final series as the show has been cancelled but I would definitely recommend this to any fan of the Simpson’s or Futurama. With a fantastic array of characters including Quagmire, a perverted ex-sailor with a thing for Lois, a homosexual talking dog who works at club med and a wheelchair bound policeman Joe, Family guy is not short of originality and will keep people of all ages amused for hours.
Family guy is definitely an more adult comedy, with drugs, sex and violence occurring regularly and I would not give this DVD to any child under 13, although it is a 15 rated series.
Pros · Never a dull moment · Great satirical comedy · Touches subjects previously untouched by animators, drugs, sex and violence. · Value for money, 450 minutes of non-stop humour.
Cons · Very American comedy, some jokes don’t work as well in the UK
With very little faults I believe this is one of the greatest comedy DVDs out there, if the price is a bit off-putting it can be bought much cheaper at online sites such as Ebay, Amazon or Play.com, if possible get this DVD, any age if you are into comedies it is definitely worth looking into.
