For people who love animated comedy, this is certainly for you. Self-proclaimed as a cross between The Simpsons and South Park, Family Guy has made its own unique impression on the animated comedy market. For those that don't know with Family Guy is, it follows the lives of the Griffin family (one of the most dysfunctional families on TV). Peter Griffin (the father) is all too similar to Homer Simpson, in that he has good intentions, but can't help but be a bumbling idiot in the process.
Family Guy Season 2 contains 15 hilarious episodes (including the controversial episode 'When You Wish Upon a Weinstein', which was banned from TV due to its many references to the Jewish). Other episodes include the Griffin family appearing on a talkshow, and Peter pnicking over the end of the world caused by the millennium bug. I think that this particular season is an improvement from the first season, in that the animation is of a better quality, and the subject matter of the episodes is more involved. Each episode has a commentary from the writers and directors of the shows. The only disadvantage is that there aren't a lot of episodes for its price. At an average price of around £15, 15 episodes does seem a bit too few.
Overall, I thought that this was a highly hilarious season that would fit nicely on anybody's DVD rack.
