Great boxset!

Advantages: Convenient to keep them together. Great prices around.
Disadvantages: Individual boxes smaller than normal.

In my opinion this boxset (bought for £17 from HMV) was great value. It was much cheaper than buying all individually. I only had one of the movies on dvd and had the earlier ones on VHS so I needed an update. All five parts are great quality films! It's handy that all five come in separate boxes within the one cover because they won't get lost. Each individual box is smaller than the normal DVD box size and perhaps this is worth noting. ...for family viewing although it is worth bearing in mind that the films seem to get a bit more scary as they progress (number 5 is particularly scary). Parental guidance is reccommended if buying this movie for very young children. In my opinion the violence and fear-factor is mild-to-moderate but is no worse than a lot of movies nowadays. I do wonder what will happen when the sixth movie is released on dvd and whether a new boxset will be available ...

Review of Harry Potter - Years 1-5 (Box Set) (DVD)

Nothing but class and humour thoughout

Advantages: Excellent value and a timeless classic that you would watch time and again.
Disadvantages: Not quite the same if you don't watch it with the kids.

Wonderful Literary Chick Flick Trilogy Box Set

Advantages: Well acted, Great Book Adaptation Storylines, Fun for All Ages
Disadvantages: Each Movie is About Three Hours Long

Review of Anne Of Green Gables (Box Set) (DVD)

Finding Nemo is a superb family film, guaranteed to entertain.

Advantages: Great for all ages
Disadvantages: could have included more soundtracks.

Finding Nemo is a fantastic film for all the family. The visual effects are super, the storyline is easy to follow without being the least bit boring and the characters are all unique and entertaining. The comedy is simple enough to get the kids laughing out loud but is also genuinely funny for the adult viewers. Review of Finding Nemo (DVD)

Good but not as good as the original!

Advantages: Still funny, good charcaters
Disadvantages: Not as good as the first Shrek

Shrek 3 is apparently better than the previous two Shrek movies. I disagree and would say the first movie was better and that the characters have lost a bit of novelty however I would still say that this is an excellent family film. The film follows on from the previous Shrek and starts with Shrek searching for a boy called Arthur because the King of Far Far Away has died and as Shrek is next in line but does not want to be King he tries to find ...
...rule Far Far Away and Shrek has to think about becoming a father! The characters and the actors are the same as the previous films and my favourite character has to be donkey as I find his voice hilarious!
