Two christmasy classics
Advantages: Two great christmas films on one DVD, classic family films Disadvantages: Grumpy Father Christmas may put some off, no extras on the DVD
The Snowman was originally a childrens book written by Raymond Briggs. The Snowman was written in 1978 and was turned into a 26 minute long animated film in 1982. The Snowman is introduced by David Bowie, who claims to be the boy from the story (and has the scarf to prove it). The story of The Snowman starts on a snowy, winters morning - all the houses, fields and trees are covered in thick snow. A young boy (James) wakes up in his bed, sees the ... ...begins to get dark and the boy has go to indoors to bed, but all he can think about is his snowman. He eventually gets in his bed and falls asleep, but shortly before midnight the boy wakes up and goes downstairs to have another glimse at his snowman. The clock strikes midnight and the boy can't believe his eyes when his snowman comes to life! Nothing but class and humour thoughout
Advantages: Excellent value and a timeless classic that you would watch time and again. Disadvantages: Not quite the same if you don't watch it with the kids.
If you havn’t seen this yet, then where have you been? A masterclass in children’s entertainment from the creators of Shrek and Toy Story. With a classic sense of fun, humour and adventure with a cracking storyline that appeals to the younger and adult audiences. Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi and many more bring the characters to life in a manner that draws you into the film and twangs those emotional strings. The town of ‘Metropolis’, ... ...setting where the energy of the town is reliant on the screams of children living in a parallel universe and collected by monsters that live at the bottom of your bed.
The World is turned upside down by the arrival of ‘Boo’ in an hilarious and heart warming tale.
This is a timeless classic that will continue to bring on the laughter for years to come. I have seen the film more than once and each time it delights as you notice different adult quips ...

Finding Nemo is a superb family film, guaranteed to entertain.
Advantages: Great for all ages Disadvantages: could have included more soundtracks.
Finding Nemo is a fantastic film for all the family. The visual effects are super, the storyline is easy to follow without being the least bit boring and the characters are all unique and entertaining. The comedy is simple enough to get the kids laughing out loud but is also genuinely funny for the adult viewers. Dorey's lack of memory has the audience shouting out loud to remind her of things she has forgotten and Marlin's emotional journey of accepting ...

Out of the toy box and into the barn
Advantages: Fun packed adventure; really witty; great development of characters, DVD special features Disadvantages: None
Toy Story 2, released in 2000, is the sequel in the Pixar animation to Toy Story which was orginally released in 1995. I usually find that sequels are never as good as the first, mainly because you tend to loose some of the traits of characters, the plot seems quite desperate and overall, you feel like you aren't learning anything new about the characters at all. This, however, is a complete exception and I rate it high above the first.
The adventure ... ...lot more, 'adventurous'. The first Toy Story focusses primarily in the boy, 'Andy's' room with a small adventure out to a 'Pizza Palace' where the two main characters are Woody and Buzz. The other toy's characters are skimmed over the surface. With this film, it not only incorporates nearly all the characters into the adventure (such as Mr Potato head, Hamm the piggy bank, Rex the dinosaur and slinky the dog) but the adventure is more daring, plus, ...
