Monsters, Inc review - from personal experience
Review of Monsters, Inc. DVD by
hepburnattiffanys
Advantages: funny, well written, and you don't have to concentrate too much to follow the plot
Disadvantages: it means all the old disneys we love have to take a back shelf
This is such a great film for all ages. It's got good comedy writing (with a little adult humour - the mild kind children don't pick up on but make the adults chuckle) mixed with sentimental slushiness and is one of those movies you can watch again and again. The plot focuses on some rather unusual looking monsters (not at all scary though, definitely safe to sit the kids in front of) who are trained to scare our children for a living. When a human ...

Monsters, Inc
Review of Monsters, Inc. (Collector's Edition) by
shelley1986
Advantages: Great fun, colourful, imaginative, brilliant animation
Disadvantages: None to mention
Monsters Inc is an outstanding creation by the 7 time Academy Award winning Disney Pixar animation team. They dreamed up hugely popular films such as Toy Story and Finding Nemo. Monsters Inc is actually Pixars fourth animated feature brought out by the team. The movie was released in 2001and was nominated for many awards. The movie tells the story of a world of Monsters that generate their power supply by the screams of human children. Monster Incorporated ... ...environment in which to gather the screams. This tale is of a friendship between two monster friends. Sulley; a huge, furry blue monster; who happens to be the cities best child scarer, and his working partner Mike; the small, one-eyed, green monster who helps him out with all the paperwork. Together they come across a lost little girl who should not be in the monster world as they are contagious to the Monster population, and if she is found by ...

Monsters inc-luded
Review of Monsters, Inc. (DVD And Toy) by
ian4552
Advantages: It is without doubt one of the funniest films i have ever seen as well as having some of the most outstanding CGI ever
Disadvantages: is that addition of the sulley toy, door handle message and name plate worth the extra money
Now i know that this film has been reviewed to death. To be honest im not surprised as it is an outstanding film for kids of all ages.
I was blown away by sight of Sulley's fur moving as if it was real and not computer generated, but not only was the animation outstanding, the soryline and script were first class
Ok the basic sory is that Sulley (a big blue bear with horns) and Mike ( a green tennis ball with one eye) work for Monsters Inc. The ... ...provided by the screams of human children. So each night Sulley and the other Scarers go out into the world and scare the be-jesus out of poor boys and girls to collect the screams.
The only down side of the job is that children are toxic (as anyone who has changed a dirty nappy can vouch for) and if the monsters are touched by the kids they will die.
Of course a human child gets into their world, so Mike and Sulley have a series of adventures ...

A GREAT COLLECTIONS
Review of Pixar Box Set - Toy Story/Toy Story 2/A Bug's Life/Monsters, Inc. (Box Set) by
laurajg123
Advantages: A GREAT MIX OF CLASSICS FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY
Disadvantages: THERE ARE NONE
...WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PIXAR FILMS EVER MADE - BUT THAT DIDN'T STOP IT BEING A GREAT FAMILY MOVIE. IT COMBINES THE HEART WRENCHING SADNESS OF A LITTLE BOY LOSING HIS FAVOURITE TOY WITH THE ADVENTURE OF TRYING TO REUNITE THEM. AFTER THE SUCCESS OF THE FIRST TOY STORY IT WAS THOUGHT THAT THE SECOND WOULD BE A BIT OF A DISAPPOINTMENT - BUT THIS DIDN'T LET THE SIDE DOWN AS IT ALSO TURNED OUT TO BE A GREAT FILM.
A BUG'S LIFE IS THE FILM IN THIS COLLECTION ... ...FOR THIS IN THE UNIQUE WAYS THAT OT PORTRAYS THE DIFFERENT BUG. SO OVERALL IT IS A GOOD FILM FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY.
OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT COLLECTION. IT ALSO SAVES YOU MONEY IF YOU BUY IT IN THIS SET AS IT IS CHEAPER THAN HAVING TO BUY THEM ALL SEPARATELY - WHICH YOU WILL DO IF YOU WANT THEM ALL SO YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF HOW AMAZING THEY ALL ARE. ...

A must for adults and kids alike
Review of Pinocchio (Animated) by
aliswan1
Advantages: Great story Great animation Great lessons learned
Disadvantages: Can be quite distressing to young children
...a legend in my house! Pinocchio is as everyone knows a puppet, who wants to be a real boy. The story follows his antics from being part of a puppet show to going to Pleasure Island the story really can be taken in two ways, children see the innocence in this little puppet and learn lessons about strangers, but adults see the darker side of Walt Disneys story telling and really it was ahead of time addressing alot of the issues that parent really ...
