Small Spys - Big Scale Advantages: Entertaining, loads of ideas, amusing Disadvantages: None The original Spy Kids movie arrived with little fanfare, a small budget but a lot of ideas. $100 million at the US box office meant that a sequel would be a sure bet. Spy Kids The Real Heroes Advantages: Really good story, Inventive, Great for the whole family Disadvantages: This type of film has been done before ...rescue using all the latest spy gadgets. In the truest sense Carmen and Juni become Spy Kids. Spy Kids is the first film of the Spy Kids trilogy, directed and written by Robert Rodriguez. Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara also star in the film which was released back in 2001. The first Spy Kids was a feature film that was extremely popular with children and so they released another 2 movies. Stop the Sequels!!!. Advantages: You don't always have to wear 3-D glasses. Disadvantages: The Acting. It's Not 3-D. Spy Kids 3-D Plot. At the start of the movie, Juni Cortez (Daryl Sabara) the trilogy's junior James Bond comes out of retirement (Although we have no explanation why he retired in the first place), to rescue the mind of his sister Carmen Cortez (Alexa Vega), who has become trapped inside a virtual reality video game. Sharkboy and Lavagirl was great !! Advantages: It seems real. And has Taylor Lautner in it -He's gorgeous Disadvantages: There isn't a movie to follow on after The film is based around the dreams of a boy, Max. He has dreamt up two characters, Sharkboy and Lavagirl and they need his help in order to save planet Drool. I personally thought that it was very much like the Spykids films which I loved, it is by the same director so you can see why it's pretty similar. It really brings out the emotions in you and makes you feel anxious, happy, sad etc and helps you understand the characters earier.
