HP and the 'not bad, could be better though' DVD!
Review of Harry Potter - Years 1-5 (Box Set) by midpikyrozziy

Advantages: Good chemistry between actors, nice cinematography, well cast
Disadvantages: Child acting poor at times, directing unsatisfactory for first two films

...world have read the famous Harry Potter books, and a tremendous success they have been too, so when Warner Bros announced that 8 films would be made for this series, I can imagine there was a mixed response. There will be those who were elated at the prospect of the films. Their favorite book, turned into a blockbuster film. Now there will be a face to each name, and Hogwarts can be developed with some great studio effects. The magical game of Quidditch ...
... Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter: This lad impressed enough in the audition to secure the role that thousands had tried for, the holy grail of child acting, Harry Potter. He became the face to a character whom millions had already formulated their own ideas of in their head, and on an appearance alone, it was a good casting decision. Despite ignoring the 'mop of jet-black hair' in favor of brown hair, Radcliffe is pretty much spot on as Potter. ... Read review

Advantages: Pretty good special effects, supporting cast rescue the film with great performances
Disadvantages: Teen actors are rubbish, the dialogue is awful, miss out alot of the book

...novel of the same name, Harry and co are back in this story of magic and the importance of friends and family. In Goblet of Fire Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint - he was in Thunderpants!!! - hint the sarcasm of the three exclamation marks) and Hermione (Emma Watson) are off again to unwittingly cause anarchy at Hogwarts and piss off the staff as well as the undeveloped dark lord, Lord Voldermort. They start off at the Quidditch World ...
...along with the three competitors, Harry is also chosen to compete, causing uproar among the staff and students alike. As Harry battles his way through the challenges and a Prom, he discovers the real reason he's competing in the Tournament, and once again comes face-to-face with Lord Voldermort in a battle of supreme, all-powerful dark lord against some hormonal schoolboy.....??? OK, so somehow they managed to cram 636 pages into 2 and a half hours, ... Read review

In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, this is the fourth installment of J K Rowling's and the adventures of Harry's at Hogwarts, the school of Witchcraft and wizardry. ...allowed to enter. This means Harry Potter played by Daniel Radcliffe is not allowed to enter the tournament, but some how his name ends up in the cup, even though the cup has been put under magical spells and he has to compete. There is another new Defence against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts this year, he is Mad-Eye Mooney, there is also the Yule Ball, with Hermione going with Victor, and Harry takes Cho Chang, while Ron has a dilemma should ... Worthy Third Installment
Review of High School Musical 3 - Senior Year DVD by katygriff

Advantages: Fun
Disadvantages: None

I love High School Musical and I saw the third one at the cinema last weekend now for the second time as I love it so much. It is the most fun and fantastic film and follows on from the first two very well due to its slightly more grown up feel and songs and dances. This review will hopefully tell you why this trilogy has been finished off perfectly with this fab third film. Story of this film is that it is senior year at East high school and everybody ...
...This film shows that the high school musical franchise is as strong as ever and the third installment still captures all of the Disney magic and once again leaves the audience wanting more. I have to say that this film is definitely one you should go and see if you want a couple of hours of pure fun. The film lasts for just under 2 hours which seems long but it goes by in a flash and as always with these films it is a Universal certificate. You ... Read review

Review of Care Bears - The Movie/All Dogs Go To Heaven 2/Tom's Midnight Garden (Box Set) by marymoose99

Advantages: Only £2 per film, Care Bears are great!
Disadvantages: Not good version of Tom's Midnight Garden, No English on ADGTH

...of water and watching the Care Bears movie? I was quite surprised that hubby didn't even object to this, and actually seemed quite excited about the film! He must have been feeling delicate too. Care Bears - The Movie I used to like the Care Bears - I was never a huge fan, but had a couple of the bears, including Birthday Bear (my favourite), and used to get Care Bears films out of the video shop along with My Little Pony, and Herbie goes ...
...film, it's the first Care Bear's film, and was released in 1985, but I'm sure I must have seen it at some point. So, onto the story In the orphanage the children are ready for bed, and want a bedtime story before they go off to sleep. So, the orphanage owner Mr Cherrywood (voice over by Mickey Rooney) tells them a story…..about a time when people stopped caring. Care-a-lot is where the Care Bears live, and it's such a nice place to live, ... Read review
